I hate hearing how anything is "the dark souls of ____" but I'd rather hear about darksouls 3: the quickening than some total garbage like the division. risk of rain is the dark souls of pixelman junkshooters, though.FactsAreUseless posted:Lmao look at this scrub who's going to waste a bunch of money on a taxi. I realized the other day that I got through like half of Paper Mario like a year ago and put it down and never came back to it, so I've been playing through the rest over the last couple of days. It's good and enjoyable, but I think a lot of the more annoying aspects are blocked out by peoples' nostalgia filters. Golden Goat posted:I never played Shadowgate, was the Steam version any use? You just reminded me that I bought Shadowgate in a steam sale like a year ago.

Jesus christ, who invited that specter of death to the party. If I was at some sleepy town and Jessica Fletcher showed up to see some distant relative I'd get the gently caress out because someone is going to die. She is some SCP anomaly where if you put her in a room with a half dozen other people, there will be a murder.

Healbot posted:Nah, she just writes crime novels and has all these real life situations to draw from throughout the series. I think it's kind of backwards, in that because she's written crime novels she is adept at solving murders. I'm not saying she doesn't write books based on her experiences being so close to active murder cases, but the reason people listen to her in the first place is because she "can think like a murderer, because I've written so many." It's the same conceit that Castle leans on and I'm sure countless others. I think there's some show about Harold Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle teaming up for some reason which is bonkers on the face of it and even weirder the more you learn about Doyle. Speaking of, I should go back and play more Crimes and Punishments. I got it free through Plus and have heard good things about it, but I never bothered to get through the first case.

what was that one mmorpg that came out recently and flopped and also I think it is already closed down or in the process of shutting down and a lot of people were excited for it because it has a unique art style and stuff but then it just ended up being lovely for whatever reason and all of the female character models had twigs for waists, even the robot women
