I'm looking at screenshots of this game and uh... no it didn't? It doesn't look anything like Warcraft

I WISH more games looked like Warcraft, or Ori or Captain Toad or... idk Trine or whatever. Not to sound too Lurdiak about it, but it's one of the reasons I've never had any interest in the Souls games, I just don't think they look good aesthetically, at least with the way I prefer the games to look. So much of it is so grey and washed out and I get thematically that's kind of the point but still. I get why people love them so much though gameplay wise.

I'd play Dark Souls 3 if it looked like Captain Toad basically :v:

I guess you're looking forward to Bright Souls in 2017

Having clicked through a LOT, a LOT, a LOT of steam games in new releases/upcoming for months, I can safely tell you that the games with "roguelike" "zombies" and "procedural" far outnumber the games with "dark souls" in the description

here are two I found coming out next week

I hate hearing how anything is "the dark souls of ____" but I'd rather hear about darksouls 3: the quickening than some total garbage like the division. risk of rain is the dark souls of pixelman junkshooters, though.

I realized the other day that I got through like half of Paper Mario like a year ago and put it down and never came back to it, so I've been playing through the rest over the last couple of days.
It's good and enjoyable, but I think a lot of the more annoying aspects are blocked out by peoples' nostalgia filters.

Jesus christ, who invited that specter of death to the party. If I was at some sleepy town and Jessica Fletcher showed up to see some distant relative I'd get the gently caress out because someone is going to die. She is some SCP anomaly where if you put her in a room with a half dozen other people, there will be a murder.

I think it's kind of backwards, in that because she's written crime novels she is adept at solving murders. I'm not saying she doesn't write books based on her experiences being so close to active murder cases, but the reason people listen to her in the first place is because she "can think like a murderer, because I've written so many." It's the same conceit that Castle leans on and I'm sure countless others. I think there's some show about Harold Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle teaming up for some reason which is bonkers on the face of it and even weirder the more you learn about Doyle.

Speaking of, I should go back and play more Crimes and Punishments. I got it free through Plus and have heard good things about it, but I never bothered to get through the first case.

what was that one mmorpg that came out recently and flopped and also I think it is already closed down or in the process of shutting down and a lot of people were excited for it because it has a unique art style and stuff but then it just ended up being lovely for whatever reason and all of the female character models had twigs for waists, even the robot women

Wildstar or Black Desert Online, I don't really follow MMOs so I dunno if they flopped.
