They also got meaningless small damage nerfs, but it's mainly the firerate nerf that has hurt it a lot. Even more than cutting 1/3 or so damage off, the fire rate nerf did really hurt. Fire rate nerf is what made me ditch my beloved scoped deagle, cuz I could no longer tap a cloaker in the head fast enough to stop him from kicking me, which was straight loving sad compared to a 108 damage, 96 acc, 100 stab krink. IE "Look vaguely at the cloaker and hold the trigger and he dies"

Tell me how the CAR 4 and the Gruber Kurz or whatever are now. I know I was using the CAR 4 before and I think that's what pistol I had.

When was the last time you played the game? It's an honest question, because revolvers (and all pistols, really) got a massive buff when they did the huge weapon rebalance last October. They walked back a few buffs and gave them massive firerate nerfs, but the revolvers have remained largely untouched. All of the revolvers do 180+ damage (enough to kill all common cops on Deathwish in 1 headshot) and have ~50 rounds in reserve.

The akimbo skill applies to akimbo SMGs as well, I assume it's just placed in the pistol tree because akimbo pistols are more prominently featured in the game.

What are people's thoughts on Ammo Efficiency, the top-tier Sharpshooter skill? I'm almost always using either an AR or a Sniper for my primary, so it would fit my play style, but I don't have a good feel on if it's a big help or not. Along those lines, are using SMGs in single-fire mode actually that useful, even with Sharpshooter's bonuses? It seems like SMGs are made for auto-fire.

I use Ammo Efficiency with my R93/OVE9000 SAW build and it's pretty good, if you can line up headshots with a Sniper Rifle you can bascially get free double-headers. Even if you get overwhelmed, popping a laser on the gun allows you to still pop heads at close range when unscoped. It's basically a 50% ammo bonus if you can click heads efficiently. Tried that with the Compact-5 and it didn't click for me, I think that I'd be better off with it in auto mode.

The big damage rifles generally don't need the help in my experience, unless you're doing a mostly stationary hold out, like on Rats. In that case sure it can be neato.

After loving around with pistols a bit, the advantage you get from having 180 damage with a six shot, slow reload weapon versus just using a White Streak or Baby Deagle (which do 120 damage but have magazines 2-3 times the size) doesn't seem to be there, even with the rate of fire difference. What's the draw for revolvers, specifically? Unrelated to revolvers: did the balance patch that normalised AR damages finally fix the AUG and a couple of other ARs having totally hosed hipfire multipliers?

I was playing Cook-off and the audio glitch happened. The one what used to afflict Hotline Miami where gradually all sound effects would stop playing, even the music. Guy in the game thought it was caused by his sensor mode tripmines.

Yeah, basically all guns have the CAR-4's stance modifiers. Ammo pickup is also been standardized. You don't need to look up arcane stats anymore.

This site is pretty useful to check if your damage is passing a relevant breakpoint: http://tonyfox.ws/payday2/breakpoints/ It's technically out of date since it still shows a bunch of low damage values that no weapon has anymore (since ~35 is now the lowest damage in the game), but just ignore those and start paying attention around 39.9 damage. Enemy health hasn't actually changed... ever? Since the introduction of Death Wish, I guess.

The AA-12 is so crazy good with the shotgun skills now, kills everything in one or two shots, reloads in like a second and has enough range that you can use it as an assault rifle in most cases.

On Slaughterhouse, sometimes I've seen the truck hang, and once it was on the floor. Is it random or is there a way to bring it down?

Shooting at the window of the armored car at the beginning of the heist makes it so it lands front-down into the slaughterhouse, with wires holding it up that you need to shoot. This is how you get the achievement for just waiting for it to fall. Otherwise it is probably random.
