Bernie Sanders is every PoliSci professor I've ever had who knew exactly how the world should be run and then went home to a shittier apartment than mine in a 1988 Camry wagon because he was incapable of managing his own finances and was in debt up to his ears Some Jews like myself are semi-practicing and still eat pork because it's f'n delicious. You can't really tell that way; one of my just-out-of-college roommates was a Muslim and we made bacon omelettes on the regular. Other Jews and Muslims you wouldn't identify at first glance and they won't say poo poo but they'll quietly choose the chicken dish instead, no cheese please (for the Jews).

Avoiding shellfish is easy, because shellfish is gross. Pork is awesome, but I could probably manage without it. But no meat and dairy in the same meal? Even poultry and eggs? Cmon God, your killing me here.

Pretty sure if it has any trace of milk product, even whey powder or whatever, it counts. Then again tons of real cheese isn't kosher anyway since it contains rennet.

I'm not sure what the person you were quoting was trying to say, but it's certainly possible for a Mexican to pronounce the sound especially if they speak English. My girlfriend is from a part of Mexico where they speak spaniard style, while my spanish teacher was from a different part of Mexico.

Cmon God, your killing me here. I grew up not eating pig, shellfish, and avoiding cheeseburgers. Bacon/pork/whatever tastes disgusting to me - too much salt and fat. I think if you don't grow up eating greasy, fatty, oily, fatty fat fat bacon then you just don't get used to it. But goddamn, prawns are absolutely delicious. A bit weird looking but holy poo poo do they taste good.

Also grew up not eating pork or shellfish, and once I got to make my own food decisions, I discovered that I absolutely love bacon and all pork products, but can't stand any shellfish.

I can't eat anything that's had shrimp in it, even if the shrimp has been picked out, because the smell/taste is still there and it's awful. Same with bananas*. Clam chowder owns though. When I was little, clam chowder meant a creamy Campbell's soup with lots of diced potato and some questionable bits, so when we went to real restaurants I'd order clam chowder and wonder: 1. where are my potatoes 2. what are all these chewy motherfuckers doing in my clam chowder *bananas are not a shellfish I think? hogmartin has a new favorite as of 09:55 on Jun 12, 2016 |
