And also in the last couple years tickets to watch Sunday finals live sold out pretty quickly. Now that it's in a separate venue many more people can watch in person.

I played some casual with balrog for an hour earlier today and basically got all super plats and one plat (I'm super plat). Before hand I could get as many as 20 matches in a row against bronze to silvers, it was a loving bore.

None of the villains in the story mode are threatening. Balrog gets his rear end kicked repeatedly and has to be saved by his telekinetic orphan, Vega beats up already injured women and still loses, Bison stands around the whole plot doing nothing and Necalli shows up and just leaves.

Also whoever plays him was having a ball and I can appreciate that. Oh, I hate Juri's VA. She looks cool tho. So does Urien, although the banana hammock will be missed (i know it's confirmed to be in the game but it's gonna be a premium costume and it should be one of the default ones).

Karin basically slapped everyone around, truly the best girl. Like, story mode was bad compared to the MKs but it had its moments. It's weird who the focal characters were tho, I wasn't expecting it to be Rashid/FANG/Karin/Nash/Cammy.

I enjoyed story mode a heck of a lot more than in the latest fighting games I've played, like Guilty Gear (the character stories consist of 99% static character models talking, and the story itself has virtually no gameplay) or DoA5 (kind of like this one but much more boring). I tried Mortal Kombat but I just can't get into that game at all. Also, Ibuki is pretty fun to play, but I'm not sure I'm fond of all the changes since 4.

Look, I've been playing the eventual Melty match and sometimes you just wanna cover all of their options and put them on a blender. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to recycle the "you don't have to think complaints" with Ibuki because she's looking like she'll be a reset rear end in a top hat like Mika, plus she gets bomb setups. Oh, I actually kinda liked the feel of Juri and Urien, but they're completely different characters now. Getting two Aegis per V-Trigger is cool, although it seems like his V-Skill isn't gonna be that easy to use in neutral. By the way, what the gently caress does that do, I didn't bother playing him ten times to figure it out. Does it give the charge moves armor or juggle points?

I'm not liking jack-o as much as I thought I would. I mainly just don't mash enough. (like some things I see them do like go for hard knockdown, and then cr lp until I get reset and pushed AWAY from them and their houses, just confuses the gently caress out of me, and I can't tell if I'm a better or worse jack-o for not doing that "combo") i can't wait for dizzy. Bedman is still the love of my life tho so its all good. Not great against any of the new dudes in particular, but still love him Raven is just generally aggravating and boring to fight against.
