Hello goatse, my old friend I seem to have clicked on you again Because an anus somewhat distending Left its horror, now I'm weeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains As I scream, only hearing the sound of silence

For less neck-breaking schadenfreude, the American biker was in the lead for a solid 30 minutes. She was literally seconds away from the finish line, but she kept looking behind her....until finally all 3 other bikers left in the race zoomed ahead of her. There were only 4 bikes left in the whole race due to crashes, so every single person who finished the race except for one would get a medal. She went from everything to nothing.

Her looking behind to see where the chase group was had nothing to do with them passing her. They were working as a group to catch her until the last 500m.

Or do you think that someone running a marathon should try and be in first the entire time as well?

So why did they show a top 9 at the end? (I only watched the last bit)

People trailing behind can and will work together, trading places to rest in their ally's wake and conserve energy to catch up with the leader.

I just found out they are wiping the servers for No Man's Sky, destroying any discoveries anyone has made since a bunch of copies leaked out early. I was one of the people hoping to find an early copy, but this just made me laugh. I don't feel quite so bad about not being able to find it any more.

He bought the copy because he didn't want to be spoiled by other streamers with leaked copies, and then he streamed it for a bit before the Devs contacted him personally and basically went "Dude, could you not?" and he stopped.

I like how lovely people, streamers and game companies get about games, early spoilers and like release day streaming. Especially on youtube with DMCA takedowns and people who unironically start crying about "my livelihood" when their video game videos get taken down. Doubly so if it's a streamer or youtube person getting super indignant and making a rant video about their stuff being taken down for breaking an NDA or something

Then this ivory anus beguiling my sad fancy into smiling, By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore, “Though thy crest be stretched and widened, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven, Ghastly red and gaping Goatse wandering from the Nightly shore— Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!” Quoth the Goatse “Nevermore.”

Gorilla Salad posted:What the hell is happening at 6:10? Are the trucks in slow motion and that other guy's flying along at loving light speed? It does look like they're going really slow but when you're going down a steep hill with a heavy load you can't rely on brakes, 'cause they overheat and stop working, so you put the transmission into a low gear and engine compression slows you down. If you drive an automatic and wonder why you've got a 1 and 2 (or even a 3) on the shifter, that's one of the uses. If you use it you'll be going pretty slow compared to traffic at the top of the hill when you shift into the low gear. Semi trucks often have a "jake brake", which is super loud, that makes it much more effective. I lived near the edge of a rural town and this was a regular, all day every day, thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3bLqjPBlx8

Use of those are banned in my town - but you're dreaming if the truckies don't bother to follow the law. I actually like the sound of it. On the otherhand - one of these days I'll snap and go down to the council garbage truck depot and change their brakepads out myself. So much squealing every monday morning.
