let's examine the chain of events just going by his testimony - Sinister black people are doing evil activities near his house, possibly things like "talking to each-other" and also "existing" - Heroic Patriot armed with his Freedom Stick tells 911 "“We’ve got a bunch of hoodlums out here racing, I am locked and loaded. I’m going outside to secure my neighborhood.” - American Hero shoots unarmed black person completely unprompted - Someone in the house is like "what the gently caress" and calls 911 - Having defended his freedom, the man bravely speaks to 911: "“We have a lot of people outside our house, yelling and shouting profanities,”. For what reason could these dark sorcerers be angry at a man who just walked out of his house and murdered one of their friends without cause? - He heroically fires another shot blindly and misses, because freedom needs glasses. - Having enforced his rights, he bravely reports to the emergency operator who asks for identification. "“Ma’am, I don’t know who they are,” the man said. “There’s frigging black males outside my frigging house with firearms. Please send PD.” seriously even just going by his own words he looks like a complete racist lunatic EDIT: also a complete coward Yinlock fucked around with this message at 07:42 on Aug 9, 2016 |

I don't know NC law specifically, but I would assume no, they're generally not even legal because you could end up hitting some random bystander on accident.

I mean of course he's going to get away scot-free, but even taking this at like the most surface-level possible and believing his words implicitly he's super guilty.

It's beyond pointless to argue with them, but family is family. Khizr Khan's speech was about his son, the hero, and how Donald Trump would keep real heroes like him from entering the country just because they don't believe in the right God. It's about how fundamentally unAmerican Trump's anti-Muslim policies are, and how sad it is that Trump thinks this country is for venal self-enriching draft dodgers like himself, but not a Muslim soldier that died protecting his fellow soldiers. That's a good story and easy to grasp. There's no arguing over the facts, it's a disagreement over values. Mama Vilerat's speech doesn't have any larger point. It's about Hilary Clinton being mean to her and killing her son. Either you believe Hillary Clinton did something wrong or you don't, but no minds are being changed at this point and it's just more Benghazi background noise. It's an argument over facts, not values. She's just another in a string of people calling Hilary Clinton an evil liar. There's nothing to talk about there. It's been talked to death. It's sad that your family thinks these are equivalent, like every parent talking about their dead child is interchangeable, and the children themselves, and their stories, don't actually matter.

I think what really helped out Zimmerman was that he was connected to the legal system and the local PD which resulted in them not even charging him originally. Also that juror who compromised the jury with misinformation and what they could do because she and her husband wanted to write a book. If he was a regular dumbass that shot a black kid the chances of him getting off would have been much lower.
