From TheTradingChannel CptCrckpot: I haven't found the pattern, and I've spent $600+ on promo boxes and gotten not a single ship. I wish I could figure it out. CptCrckpot: I didn't spend it all at once, I spent it as I could afford to since the promo began. If I'd known it was going to be so impossible to get it, I would have just sold them.

I need to save posts like those for the next time someone brings up in some other MMO/game thread how RNG gamble boxes are totally not predatory you guys. That was fun to watch during the Overwatch olympics promo thing, especially when a few of the proponents later admitted to spending 100+$.

RNG boxes are incredibly predatory, in Japan they're even regulated so they can't completely screw you over. Also here are some more bios, I just got two spots left to go. I'm surprised at the last two spots although I imagine if I do find a profile it'll tag both at once.   P1, P5, C3 (Blue Orion = White Orion?), K4  C4 (I had to google to figure out the reference and I guess she's not technically underage but that's still creepy as hell) This journey through STO Bios is not worth the 180m  I just want to go back to committing warcrimes in space, is that too much to ask?

He's talking about the dumb R&D promo packs for the connie, not the lockbox. Which makes it even worse since nothing else in those boxes is worth the money spent. He basically pissed it all down the drain.

I remember laughing at the Doff promotion packs for stuff like the Voth whatever it was dildo ship. Couldn't open them even if I wanted to because my doff roster is pretty much permanently full. I assume that's why they moved to the R&D promo pack focus, that and the rewards are more directly useful. (plus doffing is mostly abandoned/dead now, sorry for anyone who didn't get in on the ground floor and missed all those cool doffs for gently caress all) ... actually that might change slightly because of those fancy promo lockboxes that have selectable rewards.

I think my doff roster looks like a bad Marvel comic book hero lineup ripoff. Nothing makes sense, nothing goes together and they all look like they should be punching each other. If not outright dead because they have incompatible life support requirements.

Definitely rarest. 23rd ships are trading for roughly 1.2B right now, some chatter in TTC last week was throwing up mentions of 3-4B for the last bulwark sold.

im permabanned poster catstar69. i first started sto when i was about 12. by 14 i got really obsessed with the concept of "yiff" and tried to channel it constantly, until my thought process got really bizarre and i would repeat things like "I hate gay people" and "i love making GBS threads inside the enterprise" in my head for hours, and i would get really paranoid, start seeing things in the corners of my eyes etc, basically prodromal schizophrenia. im now on antipsychotics. i always wondered what the kind of "ironic" style of furry humor was all about; i think it's the unconscious leaking in to the conscious, what jungian theory considered to be the cause of schizophrenic and schizotypal syptoms. i would advise all people who "get" yiff to be careful because that likely means you have a predisposition to a mental illness. peace.
