Furnaceface posted:Can someone please educate my dumb Canadian rear end why supporting UHC is seen as the devil to so many Americans? Because some of that tax money might go to some worthless poors and black people, and we won't abide by that. I'm not supporting no freeloaders, no sir, gotta pull yourself up by your bootstraps and pay for your own healthcare or get out of medical debts on your own like a real independent and hard-working American. If you don't like how expensive your healthcare is, find a different provider or insurer. It's like ordering from an expensive restaurant, just choose a cheaper one if you can't afford it. I literally heard a GOP state legislative assistant straight up tell me that last part verbatim when I was lobbying the Ohio legislature to approve the Medicaid expansion in 2014. Healthcare is seen as a luxury good to be bought and sold on the free market and not as a fundamental human right to these people. On a more societal level, universal healthcare brings into question our collective national mythos of the archetypal self-made American man. All right, so I don't want to read 100 pages of this thread. I just want to know if I've missed anything: 1. Donald Trump got outed on a live mic as a pervert and general victimizer of women. 2. Most but not all Republicans are running as hard as they can away from him, denouncing him, telling him to drop out, what have you. 3. Donald looks like he won't drop out. 4. Debate is coming up tomorrow. Shockwaves from the chaos dunk will be felt nationwide. 5. The Russians have finally been accused by the DHS of hacking voting systems. 6. The Russians responded poorly to this and have ramped up tensions. Anything else that I'm missing specifically?

Low single digits. 400+ EV presidential/congressional blowout is possible if republicans stay home. edit: Tiny Brontosaurus posted:The GOP is moving money away from Donnie's campaign and into salvaging the downticket races, and Pence is telling the rumor mill he's thinking of dropping out, presumably to salvage his hopes of a 2020 run Thanks buddy. You're a great poster by the by and I often enjoy reading your posts. Question: That Trump is thinking of dropping out or Pence? Also, if the money dries up and Donald has nothing left to skim from the RNC, what do you think the chances are that he points the finger at them? The story goes straight from "Adam and Eve did a bad thing" to "Cain did a bad thing" to "MANY YEARS LATER" and God is so sick of mankind's poo poo he decides to kill them all.
