It's probably unnecessary to point this out here, but this article is *explicitly* describing a plan to stop legal voters from voting -- people with intellectual and mental disabilities still have every legal right to vote (unless they've been formally ruled incompetent by a court, which typically doesn't occur because it costs money).

Personally, I can squint and turn my head to one side and see a case for blaming Obamacare if Hillary loses (which is almost certainly not gonna happen at this point, but this is for the sake of argument). Basically, if Trump wins, a big part of that will be because self-identifying Republicans, who vacillated on supporting him for the past 5 months, finally say "ah, gently caress it", and vote for him despite his manifest unfitness for office. And, if that happens, it will be because Trump, in the past few weeks (and especially in the third debate) has focused on typical Republican punching bags like abortion, guns, and, most recently, Obamacare. The more that's in the news, instead of Trump litigating his sexual predation, the more your average white college degree-holder is gonna be able to hold their nose and vote (R) like they've done in the past however many elections. Do I think that's likely to actually give the election to Trump? No. But it does explain why some of the polls are looking closer to C+6 than C+9 like they were last week.

Donald Trump on AT&T buying Time Warner: "“As an example of the power structure I’m fighting, AT&T is buying Time Warner and thus CNN, a deal we will not approve in my administration because it’s too much concentration of power in the hands of too few” Hillary Clinton on AT&T buying Time Warner: "“I will expect the government to conduct a very thorough analysis before making a decision.”

She just doesn't give a poo poo and thinks everyone should bootstrap themselves like she did). My dad is resigned to "well, everything's still gonna be around in 8 years, it probably won't be that bad." (Emphasis mine, although I made a big deal out of that admission and he clarified that he really did mean 8 years - he doesn't see how they recover from this in 4 years enough to win against an incumbent). They're probably voting mcmuffin, but it doesn't matter anyway since they vote in CA.

The problem there is that, as per usual, most Americans have no goddamn clue what 'Obamacare' actually is. I've had people in my office complaining about how much more expensive their Medicare supplements have gotten because of Obamacare.

Polling officials generally have the authority to deal with these sorts of people already. They call the police and the person gets removed. In the state of Georgia at least it's a misdemeanor for a police officer to fail to maintain order at a polling location so if the polling official says to get them out of here there's no debate, they're gone.
