In non bloodletting news, has Ellisson released a statement yet adressing the concern that he would be able to head the DNC with all the attention it needs despite holding office?

No, I think the ball is still presumably in Ellison's court. Lots of people implying that it shouldn't be him without actually using his name. "It needs to be a full time position" is starting to sound pretty dogwhistly to be honest.

In fairness it wasn't invented from whole cloth just to attack him. It was previously used to raise objections to DWS.

Yeah, that's a good argument for why he deserves the job, but he still needs to be able to do it. It's a bit of an oversimplification to say he's just sitting in a special chair, it's coordination and planning of a party that is in its most important and vulnerable point in decades. Do not misunderstand, this is not me saying he shouldn't be given the job or cannot handle it, there is no-one who would be a better fit - I just would like something from him saying that he understands exactly what the job entails, and that he can and will do it as well as it needs to be done.

She did it through intangible messages, like the psychic waves of pure benevolence you could feel radiating through you when you clicked through pictures of her on her campaign's website. Y'know, otherwise known as "her campaign". DUH. God it's like you're a newborn baby who has no idea how political campaigns really work. It's really hard for a seasoned politico like myself to even be in a room with you. Please try to keep up Its really, really loving sad that expecting people to google "Hillary Clinton issues" or something is too much for people voting for the most powerful person in the world.

Fulchrum posted:Hell, for all intents and purposes Hillary was doing what Obama did. Improving on all his policies and saying that they would continue the successes of the last 8 years. what she should have done is: obama did a good job, but it was not enough. many of obama's promises were sabotaged by an obstructionist GOP-controlled congress, and they have been using this position and power to roll back your voting and labor and civil rights in the states, while enriching themselves. a vote for trump is a vote for tax breaks for the billionaires and expansion of their power over the middle and working class. vote for me and vote for my fellow congresspeople and we will hold the 1% accountable and improve your lives but no she hosed up and completely failed to turn out the base and all those nice polite suburbans came home to the screaming racist kleptocrat
