Incidentally, someone ran the numbers and all the high-end completist levels require a pledge of sometimes up to twice what the rewards are worth. I think at last count the $1666 level would cost something like $900 if you pledged $1 and bought it all as add-ons.

Which, whatever... but why would you trust him again. The project ran super late, communication was TERRIBLE with waiting months at a time for an update that basically said "next month I'll put out a real update", and while the minis are good (nevermind the tits) the game is honestly kinda average-to-meh.

Yea that post is pretty much nonsense. The actual tally is here (Note that it's based on kickstarter prices, which are about 50% of retail). It's about $300 short right now because it's like the third day of a 42 day campaign, and the pricing reflects all the expansions and promos which are expected to be revealed (which added up to about $800 or so for the first Kickstarter)

Kingdom death looks way too expensive for me as a game - but some of the expansions had cool looking models (I like the flower knight and dung beetle knight) so I might order them if they are getting a reprint. The page is a bit of a confusing mess so i'll ask here - are the expansions made in hard plastic or resin?

But it wasn't cancelled because it was hard to do, was cancelled because it didn't fit the state of the game. Dude said it pretty clearly in the update they made, the content was envisioned as a postgame of sorts but it turns out not many get there/already started new campaigns so it's kinda useless making a brand new expansion just for people at that very specific, hard to reach place. I'd argue it's a better compromise than trying to push a lovely expansion, specially because all the models and stuff will be used for other things.

I backed it for the base game. Personally, I think it looks fun and the monster figs look great to me. I've seen it played on youtube and I thought the game looked exactly like what I hoped it would be. I guess that makes me a bad person.
