And The Ladykillers. :downs:

I very much recommend Burn After Reading for an afternoon when you just want to laugh (J. K Simmons and Brad Pitt in particular are funny whenever they are on screen), Fargo for its general superbness, No Country for Old Men for a time when you can sit and think about it, Inside Llewyn Davis for a time when you want to hear some decent music or when you're frustrated about whatever your art is, and True Grit for a basically enjoyable Hollywood movie.

I Stellaris early access still? I could swear my brother has been playing it for months, but maybe it's a different 4X space game I'm thinking of.

It's not actually but it basically is.

Like it's not that bad really and there's a lot of good content to the game, but like, at least 50% of the game's core mechanics don't work right or need to be completely remove or replaced entirely. Paradox are good people and they support their games well so I have no doubt it'll be a good game sooner or later but it needed another 1-2 years in the oven.

I am also very pessimistic about Space 4x games in general so you will get a lot of more positive opinions from others about the game. But for my money I wouldn't recommend it over something like Distant Worlds or Star Ruler 2.

I saw Rogue 1 today and I got to say that The Force Awakens has nothing on this, this is how you make a new Star Wars. I'd have never bet that Rogue 1 will be the better one but here we are. It brought back some grittiness to Star Wars that I didn't know I missed from the original trilogy. Things like when Obi Wan cut off that guy's hand at the bar - this episode is more along those lines.

The movie still has its problems as I guess the biggest budget can't prevent a movie from having some bad actor performances and dialogues and some stuff should have been better directed (and could with some editing) but still there are so many good things here. The cinematography is great, maybe the best in the entire series, the two protegonists have really good chemistry going on and the movie dares do things that I thought new Star Wars wouldn't go for. People saying that this the third best one after 4 and 5 are spot on.

Also the ending is badass and Vader is brutal holy hell.

Quoting the hell out of this, :yeah: :agreed:

I saw it in 3D. It's a pointless gimmick that doesn't nothing but distract you for 95% of the film.

However it makes the space battle insanely balls awesome so idk maybe it's ok.

Oh yeah, forgot I'd seen True Grit somehow. Love that movie for simply being a real solid Western. Well, I'm at my mom's place in rural PEI over Christmas with a Netflix box and not much to do so maybe I'll catch up on some filims.

Yea. There's something about the script that feels a little unfinished or like they cut something critical, but you could also make the case that that feeling is part of what the movie's about. It has some funny-rear end scenes.

It's neither the best nor the worst Coen film.

I agree with the people who posted in the chat threads previously that said they enjoy how Plague Knight controls more than the base game. The movement options get insane, especially when you get the vat and the armor that lets you bounce after hitting the wall. You can pull off some really crazy stunts with that armor.

Beat the Colorado mission in Hitman. Not my favourite (the biggest annoyance is how the uniforms look so similar to one another) but pretty good. Though it revealed how little I understand about the game's plot. The final reveals, your woman friend saying "This... changes... everything..." It does?

I think it's funny that these games even need a plot. I'm an assassin being sent on missions to kill [bad?] people. Give me some intrigue within each mission, sure, but between them doesn't mean anything to me.
