didn'tget to see it all cause i was driving, but i hugely respect gambit for gambling on train/cobble 50-50 because those are two good/great maps for them. VP is good enough at train that you can see 16-10 and not be at all sad about it. maybe you win Tpistol and another gun round and you're a 3-0 team. gambit should be a dangerous team going forward assuming they advance. not sure how big their map pool reallyis, but with zeus leading they should have 4 or 5 strong maps.

Jeza posted:At this point, the advantage conferred by the kind of hacks that aren't detectable and are subtle enough to pass to close scrutiny is so minimal that the risk/reward is pretty skewed. One cheating member of a lineup with a silent aim modification will probably only increase your team's winrate by a small fraction, and obviously the consequences for getting caught are pretty much annihilation for your career. Not to mention the kind of coder support required for something like this would be expensive as hell all on its own. Then all you need is a single leak to totally cripple you. You'll have an insane Sword of Damocles hanging over you permanently in terms of blackmail material, the stress of potentially being caught and bypassing every event and so on. For in-game hacks this is accurate, but there are other ways to give yourself a pretty decent advantage. You could eliminate them with a metal detector, I don't know if any tournaments do that.

This doesn't mean anyone is cheating, but the possibility of doing so with one trusted confidant is there (if there are no metal detectors).Smol posted:Now I'm wondering how big the intersection between vacsucks and t_d posters is. May just be a circle diagram.

Sorry but jdm64 is a shithead loser. I saw him spazz out on someone in a broadcast match just acting like a child. The broadcasters had to rotate the free camera so the in-game chat was in the sky and less legible because it was so embarrassing for the entire organization.
