David D. Davidson posted:I also liketo point out that the reason Peter and MJ are still married in NSM is because Stan Lee took one look at One More Day and went "NOPE, not in my cannon." Actually there was an announcement that something was going to change and in the next story Peter was an unmarried student again (although MJ was still his girlfriend), but then the next story started with him waking up and realising that that had been a dream and he was still a married adult. I don't know whether it was Stan or a reaction to audience feedback or what, but they did seem to be planning on rebooting it and then changed their minds.

Ghostwriters and ghostartists, if you're reading this make Peter blink twice next week. Weekend artist, if you're reading this have Rocket stay naked another three strips.

I haven't been in BSS in years. Last night I decided to check it out and came across this thread. Thank you guys, I now love NSM. Whoever said it feels like an non ironic Silver Age comic being published in 2017 nailed it.

BROCK LESBIAN posted:Peter just could not give less of a poo poo about any of this. to be fair he's, at best, a street level hero who at times has cosmic poo poo fall into his back yard to deal with. He doesn't give a poo poo about the Kree and space raccoons, he's gotta go punch clowns and mobsters. MJ is just in 'vacation mode' which means she's a good handful of ambien in and nothing is gonna bother her.

I like how the colorist can't tell if Peter's wearing a white shirt with black shading, or a black shirt with white highlights.

I like that the writer's idea of a space-sounding term is "news-a-gram". He's probably going for hologram, but it just sounds like news you get via telegram. "Honey, get me my billfold so I can tip the news-a-gram man!"

NSM is something I've always heard about and seen the edits of, but I've never really sat down and read. Started reading this thread a few hours ago, couldn't stop. I've laughed myself silly; this is clearly a parallel universe in which everything is wonderful. Space and time are irrelevant; continuity is but a bitter memory. Except for a weakness to bricks (and bricks on sticks). Apparently they are his kryptonite.
