So any goon suggestions on cheap (<=$50)) Bluetooth headphones that sound decent? I'm rocking an ancient set of SoundBots (SB240), but (a) they're crazy uncomfortable (b) the battery only holds about an hour charge these days (c) they have not held up well against my appreciation of being cranked to 11. And to follow up on c, they never had enough louds to begin with; headphones have to be cranked all the way up, along with the source (phone, PC, etc) to even reach what I consider a normal listening level. the upside is they used to have decent sound quality for the price, but they're pretty far gone now.

Definitely need something more natural than these "over the ear with a plastic loop between your ears and skull, connected via a plastic loop via the back of your head" poo poo, but I can't stand in-ear stuff (which rules out the bulk of bluetooth headsets).

My hearing is also hosed, hence the need for more louds. :sigh:

Yeah....for your price, I think you're kind of screwed.

I've got these for the gym:

https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-HBS-760-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B00WE1QYX0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1486125065&sr=8-2&keywords=lg+tone

I know you said no in-ear stuff though. Might be worth a shot. Otherwise, find another pair you like and "convert" them to bluetooth with something like this and an adapter:

https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetoo...etooth+receiver

Have you had your ears checked out? Maybe you have a ton of earwax blockage. When I met my girlfriend, she said she was deaf in one ear due to an accident. Turns out it was just a lot of earwax and some scar tissue.

Bring this up with the counselor, but you should probably just be blunt and straight up ask her what sort of relationship she wants with you, and if she is depressed.

Counterpoint, if she is depressed this won't help in any way whatsoever. It may even be interpreted as "your bad mood is harming the baby, anything bad that happens is your fault for being sad" because depression can do that to a brain.

Since I got married this year I ran the numbers for filing individually vs jointly and drat if we didn't get twice as much back filing jointly.

My only fear is that since the wife owes a good deal I'm back taxes from doing 1099 work and being bad at keeping expenses I'll never see my refund. Not that I'd mind getting some of that debt knocked out.

I'm getting a bit worried about out dogge. In the last month or so, he's basically gone blind from cataracts. Like, a month ago, he was snatching food out of the air, and now he doesn't even see it coming. I have to tap the food on his nose before he realizes it's there, poor guy. Other than that and insulin for diabetes (possibly the cataracts are related) he's healthy, so I imagine he's got a few more years yet, but he's in his late 40s, early 50s in dog years for his size. Still active and good energy. He's just going to have to learn to use his nose more. Right now he's more confused than anything.

They will just exchange it if it isn't the right type and happily ship the replacements without having to wait for a return.

But it's a disability we can fix.

Denying your child a fix for their disability is cruel. It's like denying a crippled child a surgery that would allow them to walk so they could be a part of wheelchair culture. As well meaning as you are, eventually that kid is going to encounter stairs.

I agree.

There's a pretty large movement, however, to go from asking "can we fix it?" to "should we fix it?". What causes less anguish, modifying a person to fit the world (thereby implying that the person is broken or inadequate), or modifying the world to fit the person? I think you're right, jesus christ, slap some cochlear implants on a baby and let them hear, but not everyone agrees.
