Because clearly these guys need to brace for the long haul here. Like it's an investment for their grandkids future fun sort of thing, maybe. The list could be longer, but I think most people would expect the basics in place by now. Unless you're a Star Citizen hero.

Star Citizen is that science fiction DCS flight simulator where you can actually walk around like Mass Effect and everything is usable and tactile like Elder Scrolls games, with huge fleet actions and your friends and you're all doing stuff right out of loving Star Wars and Firefly and beating the big empire while fending off aliens and mixing loving drinks in your hot tub!!!! *pant pant* Guys. Really. It's the Best loving Idea that every kid who's ever had an idea for a game has had. It's unbelievable and awesome and hell, Star Citizen looks good in its own way. It really looks like they know what they're doing here. They just don't. and can't. and it probably won't happen like this in our lifetime. Not because nobody wants to, or has tried to, it just can't happen with computers today, and internet today. Nothing CIG has shown has given anybody a reason to believe they have the Magic ticket of knowledge and understanding of technology to build this thing. Maybe Rockstar some eon in the distant future??? The hardest part about life is admitting that you can't have something. No amount of hope or money is going to make it happen either. It just won't and can't. CIG built itself and continues to prey upon people who can't admit "I can't". It's made them millions. And do you really know what that will eventually amount to? I'll tell you, like a loving wizard of time and space: Eventually you're going to be told this by the guys you hold the most dear, and it will break your heart. But... I apologize. But I think they suspected that, and just dropped the whole thing. Much like they've dropped every single legal threat they've ever made.
