I started watching The Mick. I'm afraid to like it because then Fox is statistically more likely to cancel it. Kinda surprised how much I'm enjoying it though.

holocaust bloopers posted:How dad is it to spill a bottle of 500 CVS brand ibuprofen pills because I just did that. My parents asked me to bring back two 100 packs of Ibuprofen before the winter break, the smallest thing above 100 pcs that Walmart had was two 500 pcs bottles strapped together in an obscenely cheap value pack. Sure, a loving thousand ibuprofen pills, just as like a normal household needs them. Gotta be able to hit the maximum allowed daily dosage for 120 days.

I didn't even balk at a 500 pill bottle. Military medicine: Motrin cures all. Although I'm happy these are tiny pills and not that loving 800 mg horse pill the AF issued.

Yeah, smaller longterm doses have helped me much better with inflammation stuff. I've worked a long loving time to get off 80mg of Omeprazole daily and worked my way down to 60, If I would have had to pop 800mg of Ibuprofen three times per day during my tendonitis last summer, I would have been been throwing up blood after day four or something.

LITERALLY SHAKING posted:Spiders are cool, unless they're venomous. (if you're a pussy)Uloboridae is a family of non-venomous spiders, known as cribellate orb weavers or hackled orb weavers. Their lack of venom glands is a secondarily evolved trait. Instead, they wrap their prey thoroughly in silk, cover it in regurgitated digestive enzymes and then ingest the liquified body. Sweet dreams.

Wow Zeris, a new avvy and a probation for no particular reason? It's said you only tease those you like. Do you want my number, bb? re: spider chat, this is a thumping good read http://ednieuw.home.xs4all.nl/australian/Spidaus.html The website was made in the late 90s and is part of a web-ring! I bet if you look you can even find a guestbook to sign! But you can look up all about Eurospiders, which like to build their habitats in discarded cigarette boxes or baguette bags. Ever heard of a netcasting spider? They wrap web around their four forelegs and wave it around like a net to catch bugs! (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

I'll be at Hanscom for work the day before St. Patrick's Day, which is on a Friday this year. Is it worth sticking around in Boston for it, or is it an annoying shitshow?

There is no way I'd leave Boston prior to that. St Patrick's Day is one of only three reasons I'd ever go to Boston in the first place (the others being the USS Constitution and wearing pinstripes to a Yankees-Red Sox game at Fenway).

psydude posted:I'll be at Hanscom for work the day before St. Patrick's Day, which is on a Friday this year. Is it worth sticking around in Boston for it, or is it an annoying shitshow? Haha well right outside of Hanscom's main gate is a Liam Maguires Irish pub which is a lovely chain, so there's that. You're about 25 minutes from Boston with no traffic if you're staying at Hanscom during the weekend. If you plan on driving in and are active duty/reserve/retired, you can drive onto the coast guard base and get free parking for the day (no overnight though). Otherwise expect to pay a ton for parking. In the north end, I would hit up Ernesto's for awesome pizza-it's about .5 miles from the coast guard base. Otherwise if you want a great sub, go to Dino's or Monica's. Really in the north end, you can't go wrong picking a place. Driving in Boston can suck-most of the roads are narrow, but hopefully the snow is all melted by then and you can fit more than one car down most of the side roads. I don't really drink in Boston so I can't help with that-I stay outside of the city for that. Also: the T (subway) is free for military as well. Just find a worker near the turnstiles and show then your ID. Edit: Hanover street is the north end is where most of the touristy (but still pretty good food) is at. The places I recommended above are one street over on Salem street. nwin fucked around with this message at 00:13 on Feb 16, 2017 |
