Charles Robinson's Twitter has some good info on what some guys are expected to get if you're into that kind of thing. Says Pryor might get as much as Alshon.

There's a ton of money and not that many free agents worth a drat, so I can understand money being ridiculous. That said, I refuse to believe any Mike Glennon rumors because come the gently caress on, he lost a QB competition to Josh McCown.

The Bears really shouldn't have fired Lovie after that 10-6 season. It hosed up both the Bears and Lovie.

Apparently the Eagles are open to trading Chase Daniels...... ....and Jordan Matthews 😳 Which, I could see a scenario where they peg Jordan Matthews as not as productive as they would hope. But he's also on his rookie deal and has almost hit 1,000 yards in a couple of seasons in an offense that he is the ONLY WR capable of anything. Albeit in the slot. Unless the Eagles plan on installing some good vet in the slot, I dunno....but Matthews is gonna command a large contract next year around $10-$12 million probably. I dunno. 89 fucked around with this message at 08:13 on Mar 6, 2017 |

My guess is that contracts that are offering Glennon $14-15m "per season", if they exist, are effectively for one season with no guarantees beyond that.

Yeah Jackson's probably the closest recently. I don't believe he's anywhere near the player Jeffery at his best could be but Jeremy Maclin was coming off a 1300 yard year when he went to FA if we're just looking at stats (although that was easily the best year he ever had). Without the benefit of hindsight maybe Mike Wallace It sounds dumb now but he was considered a big get at the time.

Yeah, those two would definitely qualify as well. Could also probably add DeSean Jackson, though technically he wasn't that highly thought of when the Eagles cut him for being a gang banger.

Tyrod Taylor is about as good as it gets if you include young and healthy there recently, although he was completely unproven so might not count for the question. I swear there was a searchable site for historical free agent signings but I can't find it right now. Spotrac is ok but only goes back a few years. e: If you want to go way the gently caress back Len Dawson was traded then cut before signing with the Chiefs, but that's another case of him being completely unproven at the time. I'm sure there are plenty of guys like that, especially early on. But an actually highly productive player under 30 with no physical problems I'm drawing a blank on.
