It's a hubris trap for players who think starting a first blind playthrough on hard or very hard is a great idea. Whether you think that's hilarious or sadistic bad game design (not necessarily exclusive) is a great primer/litmus test for the rougher edges Yoko Taro apparently loves to put in his games.

I'm just sad there's not a small chance of Emil casually driving through or around in the A/B final boss fight and cutscenes. That would really set the mood!

He can totally drive by when A2 is having an emotional scene with Devola and Popola. Incidentally I also rode a moose into the Route A boss "arena" and he totally was in the way of everything, including standing between the boss and the camera during some cutscenes.

I started doing this mid Route B and i had 20 machine cores by the sidequest cutoff point.

You get G, cores, various other materials, chips, and don't have to mess around with reloading. For grinding EXP the thing cyrhazax said is 100% the best though.

I like the part where in the middle of a fetch quest (?) the poorly made PC port crashes (?) and the closest save point was twenty minutes ago (?), because saving your game when you want to is now passe (?). Game of the year.

I think it's my rig but I had the black bars around the edges of my screen the whole game, kind of frustrating. There was a fan patch that fixed it but when I used it I started crashing every 30 minutes or so - so I went back to having black bars on the edges of the screen. PC gaming boys and girls

If you've been unlocking nodes, you can save via your menu any time you're in their sphere of influence. You don't have to be standing directly at the node. I can't think of many times while playing this games where I was out from under a node's influence for more than about 20 minutes.

I made it through the entire prologue while playing at like half speed because my computer was running the game on the integrated graphics card, not the good one. Maybe it says something about the game that I was able to still enjoy it like that. also No Wave posted:We should all suffer for art. yes.

And after the prologue, the checkpointing on bosses (the place where you're most likely to be unable to save) is actually pretty generous.

Holy crap, I've managed to soft-lock my game in the most amazing way possible. I somehow managed to make it through the beginning of the game without turning my self-destruct on. It just never came up during 9S' little tutorial thing and I didn't find it until several hours in... somehow. Can anyone guess how this is a problem? Spoilers for second playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85sypZaX_Xo&t=191s I was really starting to get into it just to run into such a weird game breaking bug...

^ I don't get it. What is the bug? Edit: you can literally turn your self destruct off during the tutorial section, right ater 9S tells you you can't, and thrn 9S has dialogue about it. How is it breaking the game to have it off?
