The kart track 20 mi south of Seattle used to let drift cars and supermotos on their track, but their insurance changed around 10 years ago and now the only people that get to play are go karts. I think the closest thing like that for cars now is the Bremerton motorsports park, which runs its road course and drag strip on an old runway.

Nah it was 5-6 years ago they banned cars from PGP and it only opened 7-8 years ago. Drifting was banned due to noise complaints. Pacific raceways' permit to improve the racetrack required them to give into neighbor complaints about PGP.

Godholio posted:Really. That poo poo sounds amazing. What magical land has such a thing? The asphalt part is about 1km long (they don't let you do trackdays on gravel ) so like quarter size of a normal track, and even with my lovely driving in a stock NB, a lap is under a minute or so. https://s3.amazonaws.com/mobby_6kl/video/Sosnova20160903.mp4 It can get a bit repetitive but you do get a lot of seat time for cheap, don't have to stand around for hours with a bunch of cones in your hands, and don't put as much stress on the car either. You can even sometimes shift into third!

Is the gravel part set up for the joker lap? Is there a jump?

So I have been planning a trip to the UK in Aug/Sep this year. We have a hotel for 3 nights in Ettington near Stratford-Upon-Avon. I was looking at a map and HOLY poo poo, the Aston Martin/Jaguar factory is 10 miles from my hotel! I know there is a museum there but does anyone know if they have a plant tour. That would make my trip if so.

Definitely go have a wander around that for a couple of hours. I assume you know you're also next door to Silverstone? That's got events on as always... *edit: Wish I could find more deets on this but it's a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide body Zakspeed Capri with an S2000 F20 under the bonnet pushing out 360bhp which is rad as gently caress. High-pitched, annoying voices do not necessarily mean that person is a repeat-offender pedo with a napoleon complex who picks his/her ears on television!

If I'm not mistaken the panel gap between the rear bumper and the rear quarter should be below the rear light, not through it on a real Conti GT?

Yeah the back is quite...Mustang-ish. Taillights are wrong, trunk lid is wrong, panel gap is wrong. Fender creases and wheel wells are wrong, but well-hidden by the cage and flares. Definitely a Mustang. That said, I still loving love it.
