Gameplay wise, so many ships and money are already pumped into the economy. Good luck balancing the mess.

I really wanna know how many paid shills are there. Also, how much money Gamestar is getting from CIG.

EDIT: HOLY MELON, how did they get $2,626,614 in April? I thought only Japan slaughters whales this hard.

/DANCE IN ELEVATOR - MAGIC TRICK!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Once elevator moves up or down, start to /dance

ACTUAL RESULT
You stay right where you are and continue to dance in midair whilst the elevator continues his journey up or down without you.

Once the party is over, you follow the principle of gravity again.

EXPECTED RESULT
keep position relative to the elevator, follow newtonian physics during the dance in elevator

Actually the asset type would be the player himself, but that option is not available, so i blame the maps instead.

FLOAT CHARACTER [ANIMATION BUG]

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1 EVA on top of ship.
2 land on top of ship of EVA.
3 Select any animation that won't end or is spammable.
4 Let another player, enter the ship you are on.
5 Let him fly up.
6 Now any animation will be done in the air, while the player is floating in mid-air.

ACTUAL RESULT
Character floating in the air, or stuck to an airplane.

EXPECTED RESULT
The ship will push the character away. (normal ragdoll physics)

that write up was meant for only SA Thread. I posted it here with his permission. It was never meant to be used as a club against CIG in reddit.
because:
a) reddit is bad
b) star citizen reddit doesnt care about criticism.
c)some backers are fairly messed up in their head (for example disturbedjim)

he did write up a response to that response, but im not posting it here, since it would get reposted in reddit

The Glumslinger posted:

Like, this is something that does happen in the game industry a lot (though thankfully not at my studio, mainly because we don't do demos at industry events until our game is basically shipped), but its also one of the thing everyone in the industry hates the most. You crunch like hell for E3 or gamescom, and try to preimplement a ton of features, and then afterwards you need to go back and rewrite them. Like, do people remember Sonic 06? Apparently for some trade show, they branched the game and added in a ton of features and cleaned up gameplay that never got back ported into the main branch.

he said the same thing. in his response.
In his opinion however its a bad sign for the project, especially since its nowhere near the finish.

Finally im going to leave positive part of his reply here

His response does give me hope that some people there actually care about their work, though, as I'm sure that his hands are tied and he can only do his best with the limitations he's been given. As I've said all along, I have the utmost respect for their developers - it's management that's the problem.

Question, is there a more than one race track in the game, I though it was hyped that there would be a new, second track, at/around Grim Hex. Did/has this happened?

I'm sure this was talk about sometime ago. Is it another case of CIG lies or am I miss remembering the hype.

Race track 2.0 is being refactored and will be in a later content patch. Maybe even the one where they add content for the first time.

Nothing is funnier than a dog in a formal outfit. Look it up on the internets.

Something, something, The Pledge, we'll treat backers as Publishers with respect blah blah

But on another point; maybe this guy is right. They have taken the funds and mass invested it. The only thing Chris said is that he would use 100% of the PLEDGES for game development. He never said he wouldn't take the interest or profits from the those dollars, earmarked for the game, and make himself filthy rich. Hell, even simple interest on millions of dollars is good cocaine money.

Greetings Citizens

We’ve added a lot of ships lately, and so we’re making the $64 million goal a fun one.

Pets – We have repair bots, we have fish… but we haven’t implemented a traditional pet system in Star Citizen yet. At $64 million, that changes. From Jones the Cat in Alien to the Battlestar Galactica’s Daggit, pets have a place onboard starships… and we want to give you that option in Star Citizen. Expect traditional terrestrial options, plus anything exotic we can dream up in the Star Citizen universe! (Those Torshu Grey crabs that keep escaping are just the start.) This stretch goal is in honor of Paddington, Strike Dog of the UEES Paul Steed. In one of our first videos Paddington helped us get to $4 million back in the initial campaign, and sadly passed away recently.

That's really the craziest thing Star Citizen believe in. Having faith in CIG and Chris Roberts to deliver a proper product. Yeah, whatever. Agree to disagree. But to think that a business that has a successful whale model is ever going to voluntarily give it up, it is just beyond reason. Why would you turn down massive amounts of money from people with more dollars than sense? If anything the $45/60 buy in is the thing that is going to go because it impacts on the whale model.

Who knows? They basically add a couple weeks to every task every couple weeks. Whether the numbers correspond to any actual work done or even expectations of such, is anyone's guess.

The real progress toward 3.0, in any case, is from cutting features from the schedule, not developing them

its already trashed. One of the 3 moons that they had cut down to (from the entire system) has been delayed and is now a stretch goal for 3.0. The Levski/Nyx thing they've had "coming soon" for years. Which means its not going in historically speaking.

The big netcode update has been moved to 3.1.

Another funny thing is they added a FOV slider to the schedule one week. Then the next week moved it back an entire month.
