Cavs and Dubs play 41 games against the rest of the league, take off the All Star Break, then go for a 41 game series. The winner plays the winner of the rest of the regular season and fake playoffs in a best of 7.

I don't know a lot about basketball, but it definitely seems bad for sure that the same two really popular teams with the most recognizable stars in basketball are in the finals again, just like it was bad when Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan made the finals over and over, which I remember killed interest in basketball.

I think it's a fair trade we all make. In exchange for giving up our own 3.3% chance of winning a championship we ensure that the finals will be awesome. I think most fans of all eastern conference teams would agree that if their team wasn't going to make it they'd want the Cavs in for the drama.

we should compromise and have both parity and superteams imagine if we had four superteams in the league Celtics I. Thomas J. Butler G. Hayward A. Horford H. Whiteside Cavaliers C. Paul K. Irving L. James K. Love R. Gobert Lakers R. Westbrook G. Antetokoumpo P. George A. Davis D. Jordan Warriors S. Curry K. Thompson K. Durant N. Jokic D. Green then we'd have 12-21 great playoff games and if we can incentivize the regular season, another 16 appointment games itd be like the allstar game but no excuse for bad defence and less 40 footers

Only way they have a chance is if it's a bunch of games like game 5 of the ECF where even though Boston scored a C-note they still got blown out because the Cavs balled out of control on offense Cool Buff Man posted:Yeah. Unfortunately, they added Kevin Durant and he is playing better in the playoffs than he did in the regular season for once (sorry Metapod) and I fear the Cavs defense is going to implode in dramatic fashion I'm primarily interested to see what the referees will do this series (and who the referees are) and also how far the league is willing to encroach upon the game (suspensions etc.) Cool Buff Man posted:What's the finals with the highest point total? I'm sure this one is going to come close 1971 Colonels/Stars with 1,719 total points. 1966 Celtics/Lakers with 1,629 total points Cavaliers/Warriors would need to both average 123 PPG in a seven game series to be #1. Or 215 PPG in a four game sweep. Tae posted:Why would Korver play in the finals? The second greatest 3P shooter ever. RaySmuckles posted:? fandom invalidates the reality that two teams have now gone to the finals in a row more than any other teams in history and will most likely continue doing so next year? Imagine if the Cavaliers/Warriors won the title each year for the next two centuries. Like the Republicans and Democrats.
