I don't think that this young person is going to be able to vote, my postal ballot hasn't reached me yet and even if it turns up tomorrow I think it might be too late. My constituency has a huge SNP majority with Labour in distant second (Tories got 7% in 2015 lol), so I guess it won't matter.

I'm voting in a marginal seat for the first time. It's quite exciting to have my vote actually matter instead of pissing into the wind as Andrea Leadsom sails to victory again.

I'm still holding on to a fair amount of pessimism, because the last ten times the polls were mixed between "okay event for my preferences" and "oh god no" it went sliiiiiding into god no territory and thus I have decided that god detests me ever being happy.

This model definitely makes some unproven assumptions but has a worrying predictive power so far.

It seems to make a pretty good argument that Brexit is SUCH a poisoned chalice that whatever party has to implement it is doomed.

Relax, I seriously doubt it's going to be that bad. The economy might get hit, unemployment might rise a bit, but in the end this is still one of the strongest economies in the world, it's going to survive somehow.

Still, it's always good to save some money just in case, especially in times like these, so if you haven't, maybe start now.

People that complained endlessly that he couldn't win and was therefore poo poo. Endless circular arguements about leaks because bad leader and he's a bad leader because of leaks. Countless dickheads on twitter declaring variations of "oh actually he seems ok". Too loving late. Your king is the Guardian who decided on the 11th hour to endorse Corbyn and then days later ran a headline parroting May's soundbites anyway. You failed Corbyn. You actually did fail him. It's not a joke this time.

That's, like, a fairly concise summary of what's wrong with modern Britain, well parts of modern Britain anyway. The desire for things to be "proper" and "common sense" does kinda lead there.

If the result is a Labour loss in the general election then the people who have spent two years insisting Corbyn-led Labour would lose a general election will have been proven right, obviously.

He's lost an election while having had to fight his party almost as much as the opposition, and will have come drat close. That's not a result that says he's inherently hopeless and could never win, as claimed; that suggests short sighted idiots sabotaged a good thing.
