I'm going to drink if Labour wins, and I'm definitely going to drink if Labour loses. I don't even live in the U.K... I just really like Jeremy Corbyn. Are the Blairites going to overthrow him if he loses?

Some of us were too dumb to get/do a STEM degree and the Anglosphere closed its doors to most people. Canada apparently wants plumbers which makes it sting so much more that my degree is useless. Although I don't see myself as a very good plumber anyway. I'm a fat handed twat with poor motor skills. All those pipes. Yowzers. The idea that people don't move because they're stubborn is amazingly naive.

I have not slept in 40 hours and I feel like I would need to read a book on the subject, take notes, before reaching a confident consensus and verdict. Yeah the only people I know who've successfully emigrated to America were (a) American by birth (b) American by marriage or (c) overstayed their visa and working in bars, no healthcare, no security. In contradistinction, my friend who's a senior manager at a big advertising company was offered a managerial role in the Bay Area by his company. They could only offer to fast track his green card which would still mean several years of him being fully dependent on their sponsorship- meaning he has no leverage for contract negotiations and if his department was ever downsized he would be forced to leave the country and his new life within 30days, not even permitted to obtain alternative employment. He turned it down. So yeah, happy you acknowledge that American immigration is lol
