I overslept so didnt manage to vote this morning, but will be voting Labour later on, same as my brother and sister-in-law. Alas despite my brother being extremely well read on politics, working (loosely) in the field and thoroughly schooling us all on why we should vote labour, my parents are both voting conservative. My dad's reason is that he thinks the tories will be better for the economy - are there any articles or videos from economists explaining the implications one way or the other? I remember there were some great ones for Brexit.
The economy has been grim for a decade, this is the slowest rate wages have risen since the 19th century. Even the Great Depression didn't last this long. Even if you think deficit cutting is a good idea (and it's not with your economy in the toilet) the Tories have failed on their own terms - the deficit was supposed to be gone by 2015, but now the goalposts have been moved to 2025 and the cost has been big cuts to things like hospitals and schools. The Conservative reputation for competence is basically refuted by the results of them being in power.

The megaphone I heard before is actually a car with labour flags all over it and four old blokes taking it in turns on the megaphone, they look like they're having a great time. Every time I've been out and about this week I've seen labour activists and nothing from Tory, I'm hoping we can flip it this year.
