So the plan is to begin the brexit negotiations on Monday. How will that even work with no government yet? I suppose the EU can negotiate with May and company in the hope that their government doesn't immediately collapse two days later, but uh Anyway if the negotiations go ahead as expected, then the first thing the EU will say is "hey UK, pay us £80 billion right now or otherwise we walk out". So good loving luck getting through that first hurdle. Never mind the 23986 other bigger hurdles after that, and less than two years to sort out absolutely everything Why is everything poo poo

Even the lib dems aren't stupid enough to go into coalition with a party they have no common ground with when the progressive alliance was one of the main things helping them cling onto seats. I mean, like I said, the lib dems are thick. Maybe they'd do it. But it just doesn't seem likely, given they have nothing they'd actually want to get out of it and there's no egotist leader to really really want to be king of a burning tower block, as there is no leader period to be negotiating the deal.

The political class have, in most cases, no other goals in life other than the pursuit of power and the benefits that come with it: if you don't think this crop of Lib Dem MPs would happily end the party in exchange for five years in Cabinet, a future of lucrative after-dinner lectures and a few stuffed brown envelopes I don't know what to say

also I've a friend who commutes into Kensington and told me that the apartment building is clearly visible from the train line. It's about 60 meters from the train line and 110 from the station. Hundreds of thousands of people are going to see this building every day. It's a monument to Tory incompetence and greed
