We have blood from gay clubs!
Dietz Vormann, 21: Nervous wine-store clerk on his first big gay night out. Submissive. Blood
provides: +1 die for Dominate-related rolls.

The Spartans, 22-35: Twelve big burly hot men, mostly with beards and close-cropped hair and abs extra defined by bodypaint. They could be a soccer team. They could be cosplayers. They could be a stag party. No one knows since they stay “in character” all the time. They are all super-party and are looking for well-trained men to join their last stand at Thermopylae. If you pull one, you pull five and if they see anyone being attacked in the club they all jump in to help. They are dangerous in a group and three of them have prop spears (made of wood) and leather shields they use with some skill. If a fight breaks out they may well overpower the coterie or even stake one of them by accident.
Physical 3, Melee 2: 3 spears doing +3 damage.

Do you think I posted to this forum because I value your companionship?

When I was in high school, I played Vampire the Masquerade because it was the 90s and that's what you did. Even back in 1992, the first tweet is basically what everyone who was aware of V:TM without being in one of the games (so older gamers and one-system types, basically) thought White Wolf games in general were like. They never really did much to fight off those impressions so it doesn't exactly surprise me, given the grand game of cargo cult telephone that is tabletop game design, that it is what the new edition might end up being.

The second one though seems hilarious because I can't figure out what customer group they're trying to reach with it; edgelord teens don't play tabletop games any more.

Yeah, most edgelord teens just go crazy over Warhammer 40k but never actually play it. Or, if they do, they are usually asked to leave by their group for being awful. Edgelords rarely last in social environments for reasons that are so self-explanatory that I feel it' be insulting to explain.

I really don't get the notion by the current White Wolf devs that the game has to be "topical". I'm sure outside of the garbage lip service paid to environmentalism in Werewolf, that's never actually been the case with the ole World of Darkness? I mean, there are nods here and there to the times, to be sure, but it's not like the games were ever grasping so desperately to try and be "relevant" as this adventure is.

ED: BTW, I remember when somebody in a local game played a pedophilic vampire, it's one of the few times I've seen the rest of a play group team up to deliberately execute a PC.

Total left-field here, but does anyone got a suggestion for good fake languages to use for Fragged Empires?

Corp --> it's basic so I'm just using English
Vargatarian --> No one speaks it, but, since it's the ancient version of Corp (Basic/English), true old english should work
Archon --> Latin might work, but don't know if its detail oriented or melodic for poems
Kaltoran --> Since it's loud, expressive, and uses the hands a lot, I'm thinking Italian
Ancient Kaltoran --> It's supposed to peaceful and more melodic but related so...spanish?
Legion --> I know it's supposed to be similar to Archon, but Klingon fits too well
High X'Ion --> gently caress if I know, this lanague requires multiple vocal chords and pheremones on top of a physical and auditory component
Primal X'ion --> Might handle this with Black Speech (that sounds racist as gently caress, as an aside) from Lord of the Rings. You know, the language of mordor. Don't know if these was ever expanded to a full language, though.

I actually really love the idea of using the whole 'blood is the life essence of the person' thing to say different contexts of feeding give different bonuses and all.

Boy howdy is that not what I want at all out of that, though!

It could have been so easy. Feeding in a social situation like a club, free dice to your social pools, feeding in a physical setting like the gym or grabbing a rando jogger or even while fighting, same for the physical pools, that poo poo!

Having specific blood benefits seems like something you either should have to specifically hunt for (which would fit with a vampire obsessing over a single person) or the like, having it come up nearly every time you're feeding seems like a bookkeeping headache.
