(I should probably just do Stormblood right now on Red Mage but those other jobs are really calling my name.)

I know I've asked already how Machinist and Black Mage are in Stormblood. How about Bard? I know people are pretty happy about the removal of cast times, at least. Is its basic gameplay fun? How about its AoE? (One of the things I don't like about Red Mage is how boring the AoE is.)

Or you could just... swap classes on the fly as you go through SB content? There's nothing making you stick to just one class as you go through SB. Just enjoy it, don't agonize over small stuff. You're going to burn yourself out with that approach

I've basically seen the following three theories get a lot of traction:

1. Gaius
2. Regula
3. the corpse of the dead emperor (Solus zos Galvus)

Any of these would get a reaction out of Varis, and are plausible. I'd lean towards Gaius too just cause if you're going to go the revolving door afterlife route (and they clearly have no intinsic problems with it seeing as Gosetsu's still around) I can see why they might find it very interesting to bring him back from the dead. Theory number 3 is by far the most hilarious though.

Hmm, actually, I think #2 would make the most sense for why he'd seem offended by whatever he saw. Since of those three, that's the only one I am aware of that he actually cared about. Though I would hazard a guess that it's less a case of corpse possession and more that they always looked the same for reasons.

if you abandon a quest it's out of your journal until you go pick it up again by the quest giver

if you're not planning on doing those dungeons for awhile and they're bugging you you might as well drop 'em

You definitely don't stack it like the rest of the time. It looks like it targets a tank and tethers a single person to them. Do they stack it? Do they both take damage?

Both tanks should stack to split the damage

I usually put a marker on the other tank so I can find them with all the other effects going off

50/60 dungeons should all be required for MSQ, so the only thing you're talking about is like hard modes for old dungeons which nobody does anymore anyways so just drop those quests and move on with your life.

You do not need to do anything other than MSQ to unlock the 50/60 dungeon queue.

Uh, MSQs have level requirements. If you have 3 classes at 60 and you swap between them as you go through SB, you're going to hit a level requirement wall pretty drat fast because you'll be splitting that XP between those 3 classes, and then have to grind dungeons on that class to progress. Then if you swap classes again... you're right back there.

Like you can but... not really.

Bard Main here! Bard is incredibly fun now as you have to juggle your songs to ensure 100% uptime and each song has unique benefits to DoT crits. On top of that you have various high utility options like Nature's Minne (20% bonus healing from healing magic to a target), Troubadour (give a party wide buff based on current song: 10% physical damage reduction for Army's, 10% magical damage reduction for Wanderer's, 15% Max HP for Mage's), Battle Voice (party wide 15% Direct Hit buff for current song's duration), and Foe's Requiem (3% damage boost on enemies, drains MP while on).

The basic combat flow is a bit basic, keep up Straight Shot, put up DoTs, use procs and oGCDs, Heavy Shot filler... but that layers really nicely on top of song management and the ability to throw out utility as you need. All the utility goes on top of what the role actions offer too with Tactician, Refresh, and Palisade giving you even more support options. Bard is basically the closest this game has gotten to an actual Support role right now.

It also sets up an actually interesting plot point for Hein to see if he holds true to his word of holding villain lady's words and story to heart when rebuilding Doman society. Lady was sold into sexual slavery twice over thanks to how Doman society functioned under Hein's father.

You don't have to unlock everything to unlock the roulette itself, but you do have to unlock a dungeon for it to appear in the roulette. Basically, unlocking more dungeons just gives you more variety when you do the 50/60 roulette. That's why I was running around picking up the dungeon unlock quests, so that when I do the roulette there are more than a handful of dungeons I can get. I just didn't really know what the best option was once I got to the point where the dungeon is unlocked and I have to do it to complete the quest, especially with DPS queues meaning queuing for each one would take like a half hour each just to get in.

While "hard" dungeons are always higher level and harder than their original incarnation, they're at the same difficulty level as any other dungeon released during the same major patch, including whatever dungeon is brand-new that patch. All dungeons are aimed at the entire playerbase, there's no "you must be this good in order to complete it" expectation.

The same cannot be said of extreme primals and minstrel's ballads (aimed at midcore+) and savage raids (aimed at hardcore).

All roulette content, except Mentor Roulette, will only ever stick you in the casual-friendly content. Mentor Roulette also includes the midcore stuff, and since many of those are ... inadvisable ... to pug at respective level cap, it's generally best avoided. It would be a fantastic roulette for "I want to roulette into absolutely anything that I can reasonably expect my pugs to beat" if it didn't include them, but c'est la vie.
