A lot of the kids I grew up with joined the military. Most of them weren't warmongers or killers, just dumb kids didn't know poo poo about politics, the world, or themselves and had know idea what they were getting into. War is intense like Counter Strike. War is dramatic like a Coppola movie. War is sexy and manly like James Bond. War is being all you can be, serving your country, seeing the world, getting money for college, and killing fire monsters with a bitching sword. People grow up with stupid poo poo notions like that, it's no surprise they go to war. Volkerball can speak for himself, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was just one of those kids.
