No, other than 3D games it seemed to be running fine without doing anything, so I didn't bother. But it says I'm getting 1.2 mBTC/day and the OP says a 1070 should be getting over 2 mBTC/day. That plus the previously mentioned Nicehash profitability table and it looked like something's wrong. (This is actually better than it was before, I slightly overclocked the card since my first post.)

I even think it MIGHT help more than SLI, but mostly because more games support PhysX than SLI. I know in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, putting my second card on Physx duty was more helpful than using them in SLI.

Currently mining butts on a 1080 and my 970 (PHYSX card, probably even more stupid than butt mining). Should I add in my other 970 from when I was running 970 SLI? Could probably net me 2 whole dollars more/day. Also, ask me about my stupid decision making though process.

So my 1080Ti and 1060 6GB have been mining approx. £5-6 per day, and my payout just came 5 hours ago...I've made about £43 this week. I was very surprised but I actually earned way more than Slushpool payed out in like 5 weeks! My total should be £45 but they took out like a £2 fine so I'm okay with that. If this keeps up, I might have enough to consider grabbing an Rx 580 and better my chances for more cash.

970s are cheap and will pay themselves off in two months, if the difficulty increases or values crash you can dump them for the same price you paid for them.

It's itch.io but with blockchain! As someone who's done media content stuff, here's the issues I see with using LBRY: -I get paid in LBC. This means I have to convert my money out through a third-party exchange, which introduces more points of failure. Also, I'm not getting paid in USD. Cryptocurrency is notoriously unstable in terms of price. If I set a price in LBC, what's to keep LBC from dropping in value and letting people get my product for cheap, or spiking in value and making my sales dry up because the price is too high? If I set a price in USD, (i.e., pay me the current LBC equivalent of $5) now I have to rush to convert my LBC back into actual money so that I don't get hosed by price fluctuations. -My customers have to pay in LBC. This puts an extra step between them and buying my poo poo, and it's a big step. I've invested time in reducing the number of clicks it takes to buy my poo poo from like five to three. I've made sure you don't even have to go to another page to buy my poo poo. Why am I going to adopt a payment platform that requires my customers to go onto a currency exchange and buy tokens so that they can then buy my poo poo? That's a prohibitive amount of effort and it's going to put a huge dent in impulse buying. -What's stopping someone else from profiting off of my content? As far as I can see, there's no method for filing a DMCA claim, and given that this is cryptocurrency-related, that's probably by design. But what if someone uploads my file but charges 4 LBC instead of 5? Or releases it for free? Yes, piracy isn't just specific to LBRY; someone could just throw the file up on Mega or something, but the fact that LBRY doesn't seem to have any default means of reporting/removing pirated content would make me wary to put anything on there in the first place. -What information do sellers get about their customers? If they don't get information like a billing address, they won't be able to file things like EU VAT (which you have to pay when you sell to anyone in participating EU countries, even if you're not an EU resident yourself.} -They make claims about "no fees!" which is a pretty standard crypto refrain, and is almost always false. Yeah, no fees on the Funny Munny I get paid. I just have to pay the exchange fees when I want actual dollars, and my customers also have to pay fees to turn their actual dollars into Funny Munny to pay me.

If you're gonna sell cards, now is the time. A RX 480/580 makes what, like $3.50 per day now? Same for a 1070? A 1060 makes like $2? As the difficulty continues to increase, sooner or later miners are gonna come to their senses that $300-500+ for these GPUs is not sustainable at these payout rates, even ignoring power/etc. (barring another massive run-up in the price of Eth/Bitcoin, which seems unlikely - if anything holding them seems really risky right now) Some of us have viable use-cases for a few extra cards, but that basically means you're buying them at $400, whereas if you sell now and wait a few months you can probably pick them up for $100. Junior Jr. posted:Should I buy an RX 580 now or wait till the Vega cards (not the Frontier one) come out? Maybe they'll have better rates than a 1060 6GB. gently caress no, wait. I think the bubble will implode within like 2 months at the outside, the difficulty is doubling like every month or some poo poo which means rewards are halving. This is literally the most pants-on-head-retarded possible moment to buy anything except a 1080/1080 Ti and even then demand is driving those prices higher since they're literally the only cards right now that are bad at butts. Once the flood of cards hits the used market, retail prices will have to drop to be attractive, probably past the old equilibrium points pre-bubble. Vega's gaming performance is going to be terrible for its size, especially given its power consumption, but 1080 at $300-400 would be OK, and FreeSync gets you a little extra savings. Not as much as you would think though, many of the cheaper FreeSync monitors have flickering issues/etc because they were never designed around FreeSync, AMD hacked it in after the fact, and it doesn't really work all that well. Good monitors are still expensive even with FreeSync. Wait for the crash and get a 1080/1080 Ti or 1170 when Volta releases, unless you are already in the FreeSync ecosystem. edit: oh you meant hashing, lol gently caress no. Vega sucks at Ethereum (RX 580-level performance) due to HBM. Maybe Vega cutdowns at $250 or so will be OK for mining but the bubble may well be over by the time the gaming flagship hits stores, let alone the cutdowns. It's already pretty much over even at pre-bubble prices for hardware, $3.50 per day with payouts halving every month means your $250 GPU will never pay itself back. I bet that 1070s crash to $250 or less once the bubble pops, although since they're more efficient than RX 480s a certain number of miners will hang onto 1070s specifically. But at some point soon (<6 months) Volta drops and gaming performance takes a huge jump anyway. I bet NVIDIA is making sure every card faster than the 1150 has GDDR5X so you can't mine on them.
