It's not about distraction. If it's about anything at all besides the random spiteful neurons in Trump's brain, it's about trying to overwhelm you. It all matters. We need to be aware and to push back on all fronts.

Banning all trans people from the military isn't a distraction. That's like distracting from knocking over a Ming vase by dropping trou and peeing in the corner. Appointing Scaramucci and then having him go on all the shows and all this palace intrigue bullshit, that's the distraction.

Yeah, I was about to amend my previous post - it all matters except which of the loving rats successfully knifes the most others in the back. They all loving suck in most of the same ways and all need to be opposed and ousted. That's all I really need to know about the west wing drama.

After nearly breaking my brain reading over the past seven pages... Trump isn't Hitler. He's barely Mussolini on his worst days, and Berlusconi is a better comparison for 'average' days (since there is no ~normal~ anymore). What people should be worried about, and something we can still exercise a modicum of on is dissuading the true fascists who are taking notes right now on how dysfunctional and vulnerable the government is. He or she who will *become* America's Hitler will be *facilitated* by Trump, but Trump is *not* America's Hitler. Semper Vigilans.

it's really nuts because while on the one hand, Alaska has a very special set of circumstances when it comes to it's resources and it's citizens (everything costs more, but their citizens basically get a super small mincome payment each year), but on the other hand Lisa Murkowski lost a primary and then ran a write-in campaign to win her seat so she can happily tell anyone and everyone to gently caress off with very few negative effects. edit: basically this: https://twitter.com/alecmacgillis/status/890437903817613313

This seems like just the right level of inept hamhandedness to make Murkowski an even firmer No. Also the type of thing to really piss off all the other Senators(except maybe Rand and Cruz who get excited at the thought of the Feds not doing things).
