Anyone knows if there's show listings for Manowars farewell tour? I can only find some gigs in Sweden and Germany, I'll be bummed if they don't come by.

Possibly even better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heF_NPJbv8Y I love that music video, especially the ending from about 4:10 onwards gets me in the feels. (For context, the album is about Taiwanese volunteers in the Japanese military in WW2.)

I forgot how much the last Revocation album rips. I wish the production wasn't as bright sounding but god drat, the riffs and solos are so good. New drummer is a great fit. e: everything is sounding like that to me it's probably my cheap earbuds after days of using studio monitors the yeti posted:ChthoniC are such a blast, seen 'em live twice now and they killed it both times. Such a good band and I love the how they work traditional instruments into their songs. I do kinda miss the really crazy outfits they used to wear, I think they've gone with a more streamlined military look now which still looks cool as gently caress.

Anybody here getting down on the new Byzantine? I've always thought they were more than the sum of their parts. New one really amps up the progressive end of their sound. And the vocals are so diverse. https://youtu.be/DEIQOBKbge8

I'm a little disappointed.

I found an album that got my attention whilst poking around Youtube. Mixes metal with baroque, waltz, slavic folk, electronic and the kitchen sink. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBakgOHKI-g 'Random' but worth a listen if you like that kinda stuff. henpod fucked around with this message at 15:31 on Aug 2, 2017 |

I listened to that a few weeks ago and while it's kinda cool at times it mostly seems like it's just trying way too hard to be OOOHHH SO WACKY! that it loses a lot of its oomph for lack of a better word

Finally listened to some fan mixes of the new Wintersun. Wow what an improvement with the vocals and drums turned down. This is actually enjoyable now. Hopefully an actual professional will take a crack at mixing it but who could be bothered really?
