Nah at least with Lebron there is that sense of betrayal as he left. Getting mad and burning Thomas's Jersey is the dumbest thing ever as he wanted to stay and didn't push to get a contract done so they could get Hayward.

There is no "betrayal" here which makes it worse than Bron's stuff.

Edit: Just to be clear all burning of Jersey's are dumb, unless the player like assaults/murders or rapes someone. Some reasons are just more dumb than others.

I also think it doesn't matter that a group of what appears to be young teenagers is stupid and decided to burn a basketball jersey because stupid people do stupid things and it doesn't represent much beyond the fact that they're stupid

Not if IT is the one taking them. As the Spurs (and most of basketball history) have demonstrated, a midrange jumper is not an inefficient shot if...it's not one. The point of Moreyball is MOST players are really bad in that territory and even if you build an offense around creating good looks there, it has to be insanely good to outpace an offense that takes 3s instead. Not that like, secretly Michael Jordan was bad at 15 foot jumpers.

My vets would never go to the media. They would come to the team. My vets didn't pick and choose when they wanted to bring it. They brought it every time they stepped in the gym whether it was practice or a game. They didn't take days off. My vets didn't care about their numbers. My vets played for the team. When we lost, they wouldn't blame us. They took responsibility and got in the gym. They showed the young guys what it meant to work. Even in Boston when we had the best record in the league, if we lost a game, you could hear a pin drop on the bus. They showed us the seriousness of the game. My vets didn't have an influence on the coaching staff. They couldn't change the plan because it didn't work for them. I played under one of the greatest coaches, and he held everyone accountable. It takes 1-15 to win. When you isolate everyone, you can't win consistently. I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a bad teammate. My goal is to pass what I learned along. The young guys work. They show up. They don't deserve blame. If anything is questionable, it's the leadership.

Kyrie is a loving wizard at avoiding contact in the lane. Which yeah isn't great for drawing fouls(see Derrick Rose)

This or the J-Rich spike from Barnes vs. the Mavs in game 6 of We Believe are tied for my favorite Warriors play of all time. God those playoffs were amazing.

Question, and I'm sorry if it's been asked or covered already, but do original stipulations of a traded pick stay with that pick or can they be altered down the line?

I.e. if New Jersey's pick had been top 3 protected, that would have passed through to Cleveland, right?

If so, can a team add stipulations on to a pick in a second hand fashion? Could Boston theoretically have top 3'd Brooklyn's pick or are they required to keep it in the same format as it was originally conveyed?

I think just recently (maybe with the latest CBA) they allowed teams to change/add protections when they on trade a pick. Like the Lakers to Philly pick that was moved as part of Boston trading down in the draft

CP3 also has a mean-rear end mid-range game. That's another reason I think he and Harden will annihilate defenses.

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
On the one hand one of my favorite things to do the past 3-4 years is to go to Staples on the game before Christmas, it's become a tradition. On the other hand, I don't really know if I want to financially support this team as long as Magic is in charge, on the other hand someone is going to buy that ticket anyway if I don't so it's sort of a pointless protest.

Mid-range jumpers are mostly just important for spacing. They're inefficient, but if your team is only taking 3s and driving to the lane then they are easier to defend. Gotta keep defenses honest. Having a big man who can step out and hit a mid-range jumper really helps clear out the paint.
