I may love nearly all cheesy 80s custom end songs, from the clips made into music to custom stuff to the endgame in the 90s of having Will Smith just make a song catchier and noir fun than the movie you just watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7K8UYX0UfE I know this must exist somewhere in our music sub forum, but is there a book club for rap, where you kind of walk through the genre from early days and evolution and discuss it a song or album at time?
It’s extra funny because at least half of every rock and roll song from the 80s is glorifying drugs, women, and money. And it’s 100% of dogs if you just look at glam rock.
The Kids love ❤️ music that talks about loving getting drunk and getting high. Now country does that, which is why all the crazy stories are now from country shows, eg: Why Country Music Sings About Drugs More Than Any Other Genre New study found that country lyrics contain more references to weed, cocaine and meth than rock or rap: http://www.rollingstone.com/country/news/why-country-music-sings-about-drugs-more-than-any-genre-w480761 Craziness in the lawn; http://www.cmt.com/news/1709406/offstage-can-we-put-more-law-in-the-concert-lawn/ General wtf with the kids article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...m=.8c5186da3beb

Kanish posted:Speaking of Avatar, can anyone tell me why they made a theme park for it? I just don't know a single person who really was that engrossed into the avatar "universe" to care enough about it to even go to a theme park, much less 9 years later. Hell, I cant even remember a single name of any of the characters. Because even in 200-whenever that movie came out, the only thing you ever heard people really praise it for was how beautiful and immersive the world was. There were even articles about people being depressed because they couldn't live on Pandora. They're probably trying to get in on the ground floor to cash in on the sequels, too. Beachcomber posted:It's Disney, and even if it doesn't draw additional people to that park, it will let them turn Animal Kingdom from a "half day park" to one that keeps people there until 9pm, greatly increasing the resort's carrying capacity. People will go because it's Disney. Pretty sure it's far from the first time. IIRC back in the 90s sometime they were featuring stuff with the Ninja Turtles, that just sticks out in my mind for how loving weird it was even to kid me.

People would get depressed they couldn't live in the sewers or if they did they couldn't get pizza delivery there and committed suicide to reincarnate as a ninja turtle.

Also, the reason why radio stations play the most "gangsta" music is because it's overwhelmingly popular with white kids.

There is a sequel book, actually. Or it was a few bonus chapters at the end of the first, something like that. Fezzik helped babysit Westley and buttercup's kid. Kind of reminds me of Pirates 5, now that i think about it

The book and the movie are pretty similar, although the book has a different meta element to it as instead of a grandfather reading to his grandson it is Goldman talking about how he took the "original" novel and edited it down to be something more exciting.

I can't imagine he'll ever get around to actually doing something with it, I don't think Goldman has written a novel since before the Princess Bride movie came out.

If nothing else, it's gonna look better than like 95% of other movies released this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pggDr1wmcoE That color palette owns and it looks like what the original Blade Runner probably would've looked like had it been made in 2017. Also the music sounds super Vangelis-esque which remains faithful to the original.
