Stunned isn’t the word I’d use. More like horrified. That thing is a single prop/motor/ESC/battery glitch or failure away from a dead-man’s spin. It makes my palms sweaty just watching the videos.

Hey sorry, but you seem to have forgotten to timestamp the point in the video where it does the thing I said it won't do. Every hop in that video is within one wingspan of the ground.

Extensively used for military and aviation purposes. This is definitely something to consider but likely overkill currently since the application has it's own simulation and debug suite. The added complexity would be a distraction as I am initially expected to work on lights and HVAC systems. But looks most useful in larger, more explosion critical systems down the road. But thank you for bringing it up. The basic programming is old school ladder logic in digital form with plain language scripting for closer encounters. I haven't touched the program software at this time as I haven't reached that stage of induction as I need to learn about the physical systems first and the documentation process before I even start looking at code. Once you get past "Explosions" it isn't bad and I have accidentally jumped ahead of the learning process by drawing out by hand how the application works. I got told not to try to learn a month worth of material in a week which is very good advice. So I am going to take it easy, enjoy the site visits and be the They also want 3D CAD stuff so system building time unless they want to watch paint dry. You could hop in the China thread and read all about how those kinds of trucks are efficient roadkill makers and how that article exaggerates very little, if anything at all. IIRC, it's a cultural notion of "only the guilty feel remorse" and the antithesis of anything "good samaritan": if you help someone who was mugged, it's probably because you mugged them and felt guilty about it afterward.

Snakes, spiders and all sorts of creepy crawlies wouldn't be so bad if they acted like dogs. Its super easy to know if a dog is chill but gently caress it all knowing what a bug is thinkin. At least rattle snakes kinda got with the program.

Snakes totally have readable body language. And I'm not even a snake dude. Like most of the time it's one of four postures: - Chilling - did they see me? - I've been noticed! - FOOD TIME/BITE TIME Most people don't observe snakes in the first state and only see them in state two or three, since typically they see us first, and then assume snakes are cagey fuckers. Really, they're pretty chill, but just want to be left alone.

Many truck drivers are paid by distance traveled, so they are constantly driving at maximum speed and never stop for traffic or red lights or anything else. People are loving idiots, China has gently caress you got mine cranked to 11, everyone is I GO FIRST in all situations, lots of people don't even know how driving works, no one cares about or notices anything other than themselves, no one pays attention to rules, no concept of public behavior or decency... I think you underestimate the forethought of Chinese drivers. It's not that they plan to go all Twisted Metal the moment they get behind a wheel, but that they see no moral conflict in re-running over a person repeatedly and using plausible deniability to avoid both lifetime injury payments and criminal intent jail time in exchange for a relative slap on the wrist and a one-time fine. A lot of it is instilled culture and common knowledge through community experience, like manners, rude gestures, the open/closed mouth when eating, and so on. EDIT: Those trucks? They don't have to throw it into reverse, you catch one, you're done, basically. Mistle fucked around with this message at 12:41 on Nov 2, 2017 |
