I have realized that I misspelled his name when writing it on the ballot. It's unfortunate, but it seems like New York voting guidelines say that as long as it's clear who you mean, small spelling mistakes are ignored. Still good to spell it correctly, but I don't think it's the end of the world if you messed up like I did.

how come i've heard nothing in media outlets about the races in Districts 32 and 48? 32 is currently the only district outside of Staten Island repped by a republican, and that guy (ulrich) is in a heated race against a hip-hop artist turned lawyer 48 is my upset special. i think Deutsch is gonna lose to Saperstein, the republican. deutsch only won by 15 points four years ago and his district has only grown more red since then. he'll probably get the hasidic vote in Midwood but i think the russian vote in Brighton and Sheepshead will go to saperstein. he's no moderate either, his remarks hint at being completely cool with the right wing fringe of the GOP Marx Headroom posted:i saw him at a debate, he was the most fired up person in the room. sad Swern didn't make it though.

We sort-of go back and forth between both parties, and while Ulrich is a bit of a weaselly turd, he's not TERRIBLE in the sense that a lot of other NYC-based GOP people like Milliotakis are because he knows it's a true swing seat. For instance, Joe Addabbo, who was our Democratic Council Member before Ulrich got the seat and is now our State Senator, was against the first gay marriage bill, but then for the one that actually passed, he was one of the crucial votes that switched because the few years and a bit of activism really made a difference in terms of the political calculus. I don't see Ulrich losing, though, despite my wishing it were so.

Haha, the final and inevitable result of that loving fake centrist party Cuomo made to siphon votes from WFP is them teaming up with Republicans.

Based on BOE Unoffocial Election Night Results 32 - Ulrich won comfortably 48 - Deutsh won comfortably 35 - Cumbo won, Jabari got about 28%. Cy Vance is cruising to a 90%+ win but looks like it's gonna be about 17k write-in votes. 99 miles away, Philadelphia has just elected civil rights stalwart and police reform advocate Larry Krasner as DA. If they can do it, we can throw out Vance next time.

I don't know who Ben Walsh is, but I know the Upstate Jobs party is a dumb third party whose platform is a hodgepodge of standard libertarian and republican "free market capitalism" bullshit, with no real policy positions on anything except economics and maybe immigration. The party has existed less than 2 years and was founded by some dork who made a bunch of money in the tech sector years ago. He ran in the NY 22nd congressional race last year and got like 10 percent of the vote.
