Best advice I was ever given?

"Ticker, you'll be a lot happier once you stop caring about the opinions of a culture that is beneath you."

I learned my worth, learned the places and people that matter.

Opened my eyes.

I preordered the Galactic Edition of Spore because I was confident it was gonna be the best game ever. Incidentally, that was when I learned to be far more wary of game trailers.

I'd also say I regret playing the whole Mass Effect series given the ending to it was a giant kick in the balls.

Wright's been doing all sorts of weird experimental stuff since he left Maxis, like a TV show where the internet voted on plotlines and stuff, and a social media app where people told stories using their phone camera and comic-book style tools. None of them were especially long-lived.

He was also on the board at Linden Labs (Second Life) for a while. No idea what he's up to now.

Man, people are impressed with Skyrim on the Switch, and people in the PS4 thread are saying that Skyrim VR is impressive...

Is Bethesda really getting a second (third? fourth?) wind from their six-year-old game

If its Skyrim 1:1 in VR thats honestly pretty amazing. I dont really like playing Skyrim but I cant even imagiine how much your imagination must be running wild if youre a young kid who got to play a game like SKyrim in an at-home VR set

It’s the entire game, with motion controls added. It’s really something else and way beyond just replaying it with more effects or on a Switch.

Its incredible that they got that game running at 120FPS then considering theyve never seemed to give a poo poo about performance on console before

It's a timed PS4 exclusive, a Vive version will be coming to Steam at some vague point. There's also a Vive version of Fallout 4 coming out next month, not sure how that'll turn out...
