It's funny how overused "slam" is in politics headlines. A "slam" can be anything from polite disagreement to hateful condemnation. That last article was from Yahoo. Fox and Breitbart both have "slam" headlines up. Did they start going overboard with the slams a year or two ago, or has it always been this way?

'Row' and 'slam' are very compact words for getting across those particular ideas.
