I feel like such a scrooge quietly throwing these away when I receive them as gifts, but I only ever use my big mesh basket strainer to give leaves more room and have nowhere to display these things. Since everyone knows I'm a tea drinker I get gifted these constantly. :saddowns:

e: top of page, I bought these recently and am waiting for arrival

I actually never use these tiny silicon strainers both because they are too small for the expanding leaves and because I'd have to clean them with a toothbrush.

Oh poo poo please report back if you find something.... passable? I've been using a baren for hand printing woodcuts, but a baby press would be really nice, especially for intaglio/collograph stuff.

Nothing directly sold as block print presses. There's things that could be easily adapted though.

Like these could work well on their own or if you can get a mini bottlejack to fit, it might work really well.

Maybe. its 30kg though.

The only problem is they're heavy as hell and the shipping is huge. Might as well just order one of these: https://www.dickblick.com/products/speedball-press/

Have you actually tried all the different types of tea there are? Milk oolong tastes rather different than say Lapsang suchong.

Plus you have to brew it not too long or too short or you'll get a bad or non-tasting tea.

I keep meeting people who think that green tea is supposed to taste like burnt grass, and then I amaze them with a properly brewed cup.

E: try harsher tasting teas such as the aforementioned Lapsang, it was strong enough for Churchill's smoked and liqured palate.

Put tea bag in hot water, take it out when it looks strong enough. It's not that hard.

Tea is good for you but like all things good for you, the taste loving sucks. I replaced some of my coffee intake with black tea with some lemon juice (squished from a quarter piece of fresh lemon) into it. I like to tell myself that this is healthy but it probably just rots my teeth or something.

Aliexpress has some nice tea glasses with bamboo cover you can close them with. They keep the heat for a surprisingly long time.

Wow. I disputed an order that I ordered on 11/11 that isn’t here. Tracking says the order was canceled. AliExpress came back with my judgement 30 seconds later. They found the dispute valid, so I’m getting my 5.56 USD refunded.

I’ve also just tried contacting another seller for a “shipment cancelled” item. We’ll see if they respond.

I don’t know if I should worry about the skeleton hand barrettes that appear to be stranded in a warehouse in Instanbul or not.

True. I think I'd only get the popsicle one to depot it and replace it with a tube of lip gloss I have. I just like the packaging! I've been looking for a heart shaped compact or cosmetics container, kind of like those Too Faced heart shaped highlighters? But alas, a heart shaped hole remained in my, er, heart. There's also those knock off Too Faced chocolate palettes, but eh.

Don't forget you can buy loose tea that is mixed with other things that don't taste like tea to make the tea taste like the things that don't taste like tea. Like hibiscus, or blueberries, or chocolate. Chocolate black tea is really good.

Tea tips:
1. buy tea in whole leaves, the dust shavings you get in paper bags have no flavour.
2. Buy in airtight opaque bags, merchants like to display tea leaves in open bowls and since tea loses flavour from light and air welp.
3. Those 12-35 little bags samplers you can buy from china are a great way to taste many types you never heard of. Unfortunately I had to go reading about hygiene in china so I don't order tea directly anymore. Stupid me with my stupidly cautious brain. :bang:
