I can't even look at those things without imaging the Prickly Heat/diaper rash that would inevitably follow if I tried sitting around in hot sweaty sauna pants while watching TV or whatever. Damp heat is not a friend to your nether regions.

Those heating neck/back massage pillows/blankets have a "DON'T PUT THIS poo poo ON SENSITIVE AREAS OR EXPOSED SKIN AND FOR FUCKS SAKE DON'T USE PRESSURE TO HOLD IT IN PLACE" among other warnings that those pants ignore completely in their concept.

While I think it's funny that the content of this thing is so bad that it'd be for sure proper to ban it on its own merits, isn't it also against KickStarter TOS to just use a Kickstarter page as a storefront for a completed product? Because, uhhh... quote:The game is fully-funded to completion irrespective of reaching the target goal. The Kickstarter donations work both as a pre-sale of the game and also to provide a global translation, marketing and PR budget for the title. It's pretty obvious that this isn't really kickstarting it at all. It's selling a finished game.

Five years after the end of the campaign, the guys behind the Robotech miniatures game have admitted that half the promised products will never be produced. But they are graciously offering to send people more of the stuff they've already received to make up the difference. But they will be pricing the stuff they send at MSRP, not the lower kickstarter prices, and also they aren't covering shipping. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rrpgt/robotech-rpg-tacticstm/posts/2120399

The even better part is their initial plan for you to pay for your shipping for your liquidation stock sold at RRP (because they have lost the license and have to dump it all) was to send them your credit card number by Kickstarter private message.

Forget YouTube, the gameplay of most adventure games could be faithfully replicated in Hypercard. Zork is actually just one big text file with tags for the wrapper to draw from.

Guy Mann posted:Forget YouTube, the gameplay of most adventure games could be faithfully replicated in Hypercard. Zork is actually just one big text file with tags for the wrapper to draw from. I mean, a ton WERE in Hypercard. Including the original MYST. That's not how Zork works though, Zork uses the Z-machine virtual machine instructions just like all of Infocom's other games and a ton of even modern text adventures. Because they had to sell games on the dozens of platforms available, they use the same data files across every platform which mixes in a bunch of virtual machine instructions, specialty compression methods for the action terms and what the actions do, and a seperate sort of compression for the plain old descriptions. These days if you want to write games to run on the Z-machine format though, you can use languages like Inform 7 where you can just define the whole game the way you describe, simple tags and text. But you didn't have that sort of luxury back when you're writing the original Zork.

Need a phone, but tired of all those annoying apps that waste your time? Do you have zero ability to delete those apps or limit your usage? Then Light Phone II is for you! For the bargain basement price of 250$ (for backers, retail price will be $400), get a phone that can do the following (and nothing else): -Calling -Texting -Alarm Clock -Uber (Not Yet Implemented) -Play Music (Not Yet Implemented) It's Light Phone II, the phone that respects you (even though you don't respect yourself enough to delete Instagram). The video for this one is hilariously pretentious, well fitting a product that calls itself "A Phone for Humans". https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/light-phone-2-smartphone-design#/
