I still don't know how I feel about all this, but in order to prove that he pled guilty to some of the charges, Metalsucks posted the guilty plea he signed in which he clearly states that he is only doing so as part of a plea bargain ("I...choose to plead guilty to a related lesser charge ... that was not committed in order that I can take advantage of the plea bargain and avoid the risk of conviction for a greater offense."), so that part of his story checks out at least. e: on the other hand, they also posted portions of the police report which clearly describe them finding child pornography on his computer so yeah. Doesn't it seen just a leetle inappropriate to spout off about knee jerk Internet people, thanking your lawyers, and very publicly counter punching after something like that? I mean sure, reactionary blog posts and shrill sensationalism is definitely a thing no matter which side of the issue you fall on, but poo poo, it's never been denied that she was actually on the bus, right? That response left a real bad taste in my mouth and I'm just spit balling here, but I think they have real good lawyers, and probably dodged a huge legal bullet.

If that's the case, I'm, if not glad exactly, at least tentatively relieved that this wasn't a miscarriage of justice. I didn't closely follow the case though, either. But I've always kinda liked them as a band, even in their current state believe it or not. So, you know, nobody wants to see artists they like acting scummy. It's a classic debate that probably doesn't need to be litigated here,but I have a tough time separating art and artist if the acts are particularly unsettling.

Although Andromeda replaced him with the most milquetoast prog metal singer imaginable, I still think The Final Extension is a far easier album to listen to than the original Extension of the Wish. I'm not very familiar with Darkane, but that guy's singing in Andromeda, while certainly unique, is silly to the point of being distracting.
