.hack//SIGN is good if you like lots of talking and aesthetic setpieces, it's very slow though.

Log Horizon is really good up until a bit into the second season where it jumps the shark.

Overlord is good.

Rage of Bahamut - Genesis might count? It's an excellent fantasy adventure.

THE TAXES! THE FINGER THING MEANS THE TAXES!

I've watched JoJo, caught up on My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100, and hundreds of episodes of DB/Naruto/One Piece. What is a good shonen that I can watch on Crunchyroll or Amazon Prime? Gintama?

I'm not sure how the Fairy Tail anime compares to the manga but I liked the latter a lot for a fairly generic shounen, if you were able to stomach tons of Naruto and One Piece you'll probably like it.

I have no opinion on the Fairy Tale manga, but it is the least interesting anime I have ever watched.

I'm not sure where it's available but Gash Bell/Zatch Bell is a 100% by the numbers shonen, however it takes all the stereotypes and runs with them in an exceptionally good and fun fashion with lots of great characters. Only downside is the anime ends at the end of...I want to say the penultimate arc? Or the one just before that? Which is a huge loving bummer because the entire finale arc is incredibly strong and has a shitload of good character moments for almost the entire cast.

Also, the anime has Norio Wakamoto voicing one of the hammiest characters in all of anime, Victoreem, they even wrote a song for him, Very Melon.

Oh I forgot about Yu Yu Hakusho which is pretty much the classic shonen, also Rurouni Kenshin.

Yeah that.

I almost added Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, but that's really more of an action movie that happens to be set in the (very pretty) visual trappings of supernatural horror. Most of the other anime movies I can think of that fall under "horror" are also like half porn, or just overly gory for the sake of gore which I hate. If you find the time for a short (12 episodes) series, then Mononoke is really good.

Mononoke does nicely divide into arcs that run a bit less than the average anime movie, so you could definitely watch it that way.

I guess I shouldve mentioned that ive seen most of Satoshi Kon and Gen Urobuchis stuff. Love it. I tried watching Mononoke once but it was a random episode at a con and I found it really slow. Ill try again from the beginning.

The Kara no Kyoukai movie series might work. It has a decent amount of supernatural elements at work but it still goes for a vaguely cerebral/introspective approach to its various plot threads. It is in its entirety available for streaming if you have Amazon Prime too.

Wasurenagumo, maybe? It is just an OVA, though. So, it's not that long.

If you do have time for a series, I'd go for the classic, Boogiepop Phantom.
