Clutch is my guess since it has a motorcycle engine.

That's what I took it as. Easiest way to handle a clutch on a bike engine conversion. Well, one way, anyway.

Ah that would've been my second guess. I didn't realize it was a bike engine.

I’ve been there. Met Jessi Combs there. Nice track but I didn’t get to drive it. The BMW thing just takes place in an empty lot off to the side.

There's a circuit like that outside Chicago, Autobahn Country Club. They've slowly been selling plots of land all around the track for years, and folks build a garage for their playthings. They get private track time and fun stuff like that.

Doesn't seem to pay the bills though as they also run a lot of public events there. Lemons has gone there every year for a long time.

(they get real crabby when you leave the designated spectator areas, which sucks because it prevents access to some good spots)

Inde Motorsports Ranch is like that in southern Az. Lemons runs there but only one track org does public days because the amount they want to charge to rent is obscene so car counts have to be really high.
It's a cool track with a ton of elevation change but runoff is generally bad.

Between this and JDM, my wallet stands no chance.
Problem is, it looks like pickups didn't actually exist until recently. The ZiL-130, GAZ-52, etc. were 2.5-ton and up trucks. Customizers just use the cabs on 1/2-ton or car chassis.
Ah, well.

I swear I'm going to do something like this. I want it to be a functional motor coach, though, and that part is daunting. Those things age quickly.

There's a UAZ 469 I've seen a few places in south Florida that has the drivetrain from a G-Wagen. The Mercedes steering wheel and slightly lower ride height give it away.

Me, I want a KRaZ 256. Imagine this thing with a stake side flatbed, on Alcoas:

4x6, locking rear diffs, belches out black smoke as a rule. Also my favorite truck from Spintires.

i've actually been meaning to research more about russian cars since they're practically non-existent in america. i have a lot of friends and co-workers that are from Russia and one of the most common things they tell me is that 3cyl engines are the norm there. if they're anything like their tanks, airplanes or even guns then they might not be nearly as bad as i initially want to assume

as a WWII nerd, i'm really only familiar with GAZ but from my understanding the ones from back then were basically :ussr: built Fords?
