Whatever the specific gritty details of the situation is, I think after tonight's interview it's clear that the relationship between Montgomery and the rest of the team has been irreparably damaged. Not only is the team upset at his insubordination and massive screwup, he's also (understandably) upset at the rest of the team for talking to the media about his issues when he's had a solid history of keeping that stuff inside the locker room and doing what was needed to help the team -- until very recently, anyway. He needs to be traded somewhere else where he can get a clean start.

Montgomery gave up the first 3 years of his career that could have been spent developing himself into a specialist and now he's getting pushed out.
