Was bored at work so worked out the Pythagorean wins for the NFL. Turns out the Packers and Lions are pretty much exactly where they expect. On the other hand the Bills are 5th most overperforming team in the league...at 2-5. lol

Fat Mike Frankenstein's-monstered him into being a mediocre RB and Aaron Jones is now clearly the better guy to be in that position. Whatever the specific gritty details of the situation is, I think after tonight's interview it's clear that the relationship between Montgomery and the rest of the team has been irreparably damaged. Not only is the team upset at his insubordination and massive screwup, he's also (understandably) upset at the rest of the team for talking to the media about his issues when he's had a solid history of keeping that stuff inside the locker room and doing what was needed to help the team -- until very recently, anyway. He needs to be traded somewhere else where he can get a clean start.

I doubt he's better than even J'Mon Moore, who's a healthy scratch because he can't beat out ESB and MVS. Monty doesn't really have a place on the team as it stands right now, unfortunately.

Silver called a, what was it, 25% chance for Trump to win? And Trump won by like 75,000 votes in a country of 350 million people. That's absolutely a black swan event. It's nothing like Bolsonaro's victory in Brasil where he won by a clean 10 points.

I don't think he's got any handle on the locker room and you either need charisma or results to get people to believe in sacrificing for the greater-good of the team. Fat Mike has neither as of late and doesn't have a great track record when it comes to taking people out of position and trying to make them into these weird utility players. Montgomery gave up the first 3 years of his career that could have been spent developing himself into a specialist and now he's getting pushed out.

Expectation - McCarthy sees himself playing 12D chess with a bounty of versatile utility players on his roster. No one can tire his defensive depth out and no one can substitute properly against his offensive personnel. His coaching prowess expands his mind until he transcends into a galaxy-brain football god. Reality - Scouting reports are delivered via Madden player skill ratings. Fat Mike moves skill ratings around until they all even out at 70 for every category. His play chart is actually a Denny's menu.
