I think some people get coolers and drill out the lid for their sous vide and use them to cook bigger batches. I'm pretty sure most plastics like that can withstand sous vide temps, although don't trust me on that. There's a thread in goons with spoons you can ask.

Also I did 405 for 2 reps on my deadlift day yesterday, but they were fugly. Some back rounding which actually felt....better? I may be hyper extending a little during my "cleaner" reps or something.

From what I read some back rounding is unavoidable, but I’m a weak baby (see my earlier posts)

yeah this was a max effort kind of thing and it was mostly upper back so i'm not worried about it. What I am getting a bit concerned about is what OHP is doing to my back(mostly just tightness and stiffness so far, no real pain). But I'm working on improving thoracic and shoulder mobility so I can press the bar straight up without leaning back so much to do it.

How are your lats? Coach has been torturing me with rolling them all the time and it seems to help with keeping everything else around them happy.

I have an analog one and it works just fine. The glass fogs up sometimes and it takes somewhere between 5 and 30 seconds to read an accurate temperature.

Pretty sure it's cheap as hell and kinda old, but the only time it gives a wrong temp is if you don't shove it in deep enough.

Probably tight. But I tend to also have a neck forward posture thing going on too I've been working on.

I loving love my thermapen it gives you an accurate temperature in literally < 2.5 seconds.

Also you can sous vide as much protein as you want provided your SV setup can put out enough joules and you have enough room.

I sous vided two whole turkeys I broke down for Thanksgiving this year, but I used two setups to make sure I had enough power.

oh i absolutely asked for proof.

she doesn't have a squat video but she showed me one of her push pressing 135x3 without a front rack

when i was like "my god woman use a front rack" she asked "what's that?"

so now she just wants to get margs and talk lifting.

How are you supposed to hold it, I’m confused. U start a press with the barbell at the same height you start a squat at in the rack, but grip it kinda like a front squat then press up,,, right?

I've got women at my gym who compete and I don't think any of them can do 135 and they are pretty strong women.

He's not talking about her cleaning it up

She doesn't know how to rest the bar on her shoulders and drive through her shoulders. She holds the bar in her hands and doesn't even know the term for the proper position to start a push press.

She's a very strong woman but also doesn't know anything about lifting at all

For a push press you want the bar primarily resting on your shoulders. As you dip and drive into it, you’re going to transition more to your palms as you press through the movement.

Because otherwise yeah OHP your body weight is strong but it's not liek elite. Body weight for a woman is elite.

I think it's the same in most commercial gyms based on the fact that almost nobody trains barbell OHP

Hell, our Lord and Saviour Greg Nuckols said that at one point well into his PL career his max strict press was 185 simply because he never trained it
