Ever watch someone die from cancer? I have. I got to watch my eight year old brother get torn apart by it; racked by basically uncontrollable pain as his organs failed. He went from healthy to dead in six months. No one deserves that.

In short: gently caress. You.

Call me "pixeltits"

Lotta steaming hot takes here. "Cancer is bad but I don't feel bad for this man because he's not nice"

:jerkbag:

Your personal opinion of Dave aside, cancer is horrible, and simply "being an rear end in a top hat" doesn't seem to merit that kind of hate for a person.

Rust In Peace is arguably the greatest thrash album, but all the other 12 albums or so are really bad, is it just me? Come to think of it, that’s what I think of the big 4 as well.

Hope he gets better regardless.

Truly people poo poo talking Dave Mustaine, here in the Something Awful Metal Thread #19862016 - BOLT THROWER, are bringing metal to new, disrespectful lows.

If one doesn't crank Peace Sells to max every time it comes on I'm not sure I can accept that they enjoy metal.

So I went to Manowar and Eric Adams couldn't sing for poo poo, but they did add Battle Hymn to the setlist after all, which was kinda nice. Funny stuff, I quit my job earlier that same day and they played Fighting the world which was very fitting and made 16yo me happy

Also I met some kids who were sporting unofficial BT tees and had a good talk. They told me "dude we were born too late" and I realized, new metalheads really are hosed, with all our favorite artists being old or dead. They missed Memoriam though, which they shouldn't have.

On topic: I could give 2 shits about megadeth and anthrax, I don't even know how or why they are "big 4" but Rust in Peace is a good album

I mean, Megadeth have always been one of the most beloved bands out there, many people swear by Mustaine and Megadeth as their favorite band of all time

It's all about what you grew up with, and what appeals to you musically. To me Mustaine's music always felt kinda "watered down", but that's just a matter of preference. Maiden.

Mustaine kinda sealed Megadeth's fate with the remasters too, and then deleting the originals from sale forever. He went full George Lucas on that poo poo and did some REALLY stupid changes.

The mix overall is better to my ears, but the edits will always be unforgivable.

but now...

Now, I feed as

I can remember exactly every detail about how/where/who was there/when I first heard Rust in Peace that brisk Fall day of 1990. Not many albums have made that kind of impact on me. I'm 44 year old metalhead and can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning.

Yeah the 'remaster' of Take no Prisoners is awful. For that reason alone I will never buy the remasters.

John Bush is the best Anthrax singer.

I hate high-pitched thrash singers, honestly. Just doesn't work for me and that genre.
