It even looks like the whole Republican just be belligerent assholes that treat all opposing political ideas and parties with utter disdain and contempt at all loving times thing is starting to narrow the gap even in some red states, but clearly not enough to flip seats in the vast majority of cases. Some that I never though I've seen be anything other than Safe R have moved to Lean R or toss-up in the last couple election cycles though. In any case it's clearly not helping them either since I guess maybe deep down the majority of American voters don't like assholes after all.
