Nah, kidding aside, Addenbrooke's is in Heidi Allen's seat. Until she quit for CUKTIG it had been a Tory seat since creation in 1997, and the seats it was created out of were both Tory from their creation in 1983. If the Tories want a majority they really need to be winning South Cambridgeshire.

Which tbf they will. I live there and Lib Dems and us together wouldn't be enough votes based on 2017. Luv 2 live in rural southern England.

I just got shouted at by a customer!

For the first time since I told someone the moon landing happened. I got yelled at because they thought I said "gently caress you" instead of "thank you" when they headed out. Then refused to believe that my manager was my manager.

You should have apologised and then said "gently caress you for understanding"

It was a quiet day at work and a small family had come in; grandad, grandma, mum and a little one of about 2/3. They were going around and the grandad asked me if I had heard of CERN and I started saying about how I thought it was cool. He then goes "Do you really think they are just doing that? I think they are trying to make a black hole." and I just sort of went "hahaha, okay". Because it was a quiet day and they were the only people in at the time I ended up having a talk and showing them various things, the kid seemed quite engaged when I showed them one of the things that make a rainbow in the area. The grandad kept being very cross though and kept asking how old I was, how I "knew" things and, finally, if I thought the moon landing was real.

I said yes, and he just went "Yeaaaah, you'll learn". Then on the way out he yelled out "You are sucking the cock of the establishment". Tbh I just laughed, it was kind of hard to take all the seriously.

I don't envy people who do customer facing jobs. Hope your manager was cool about it, it seems obvious the gut had it in for you.

The other week I had to deal with a farmer who was convinced my team was scoping his yard for things to nick overnight when he found them sat in the woods having their lunch mid-survey, when I intervened he threaten to smash our vehicle in, with us in it if he had to. So I don't envy you that much.
